Was a little difficult getting brackets to line up but it’s not any different the the $120 brackets from a Harley Dealership

Good brackets and bolts, had to swap the cheap rubber mounts for front out with nice sonlid ones from another kit i had. The ones it came with , i felt were not good enough to support a passenger. The other mounts were fine. Big bag of parts with no instructions at all....really? Couldnt put a small pice of paper there without diagram?

I have a 98 electra glide and bought this to add a passenger backrest and luggage carrier to my bike when I don't want the the beer box on .The kit looks nice and the brackets first well. What I don't like is that there are no instructions to put this thing on . after some head scratching and u tube videos , I figured it out .The screws for the rear bracket are about a 1/4 inch too long. But the worst part of the whole assembly is the front mount. Its Rubber. soft rubber with no centre sleeve. so you can't tighten the bolt down. secondly its going to wear out in no time and I wouldn't trust it with a passenger leaning back against it.Luckily I had an old set of mounts which I modified for the front above the shockdon't waste your money here buy something thats going to work and be SAFE.

UPDATE:the rubber bushings on the front mount bolts shredded last night and I almost dropped my wife off the back!!!! we had to carry the backrest home... Do not buy this junk! it never really fit well, had to use some washers to align the locking points and the rubber always felt cheap. Well, looks like I know why it is more than half of the cost of OEM Harley parts! No instruction, no pictures, front rubbers do not have any structure.. Not sure how long this will last, glad i am only using this rarely. Spend money on a better kit, this will work, but you will not be satisfied with this part..

Rubber grommet for the front is very flimsy, does not come with the proper spacers for the rear bracket. Used the included spacers and made the disconnect justttttttt too wide. Chipped my hard bags on first use

Very pleased with these brackets! Fit and finish is spot on! Very high quality, as is every part I've bought from TCMT products! Keep it up TCMT!

I normally don’t complain about items, but I bought this kit along with a mounting bracket from the same seller for my Harley. I did this thinking that they would’ve made them to work with each other... However, not so much. The kit is pretty straight forward, and not difficult to install, but for what ever reason the rubber grommet thing where the front of the mounting bracket slides into, is just that... rubber. It was odd, however it seemed to work. The bracket (when installed) didn’t have any play initially. Over time, it wobbled a small amount when going over bumps, but I figured that was just due to the rubber compressing a small amount as it’s not solid.Well.. I was on my way to Sturgis this year and with my razor tour pack loaded with some clothes, not heavy by any means.. I went over a bump in the road along the way, and that’s when I found out that the reason for the play was because the rubber grommet actually ripped apart inside and the bolt that was supplied was slightly bent (assuming from the slight bracket movement slowly bending the bolt). The mounting bracket slid past the rubber/bolt and fell backwards wrecking my new paint job on my fender.I had to store my tour pack in a farmers field, as I was in the middle of nowhere, and continued to Sturgis. Thankfully it was still there after my trip and I was able to get everything back.So long and short, unlike the newer style mounting hardware where it’s a solid piece for both the front portion of a mounting bracket and the quick release. The rubber grommet with a bolt through the middle is all the holds the tour pack on from falling backwards. It’s an odd design, and I think will cause failure for lots of people down the road. I’m no expert, so it’s just an opinion. Maybe it’ll be fine so long as you don’t use the supplied hardware.. I don’t know, but I guess that’s what happens when you want to cheap out and buy a kit online instead of buying from a reputable manufacturer.
