Most part are cnc smiled out of aluminum but this is made out of steel. Sooo surprised. A must buy. I have two. The one for the forward Lever. Going to buy a second because I'm going to work on my bike. I will replace the old cnc aluminum one with this one

Everything was going smoothly until it came time to tighten the included bolt. After hand tightening as much as I could, I used a 1/4" drive ratchet to tighten. I would do about a quarter turn, then check for play. After about 4 or 5 times of doing this, the bolt head twisted right off. The lever was still loose enough for the lever to slide back and forth in the channel, with only the bolt keeping it from coming completely off. And as most of know if you're doing this repair yourself, you can not get the lever off the shaft unless you completely remove the bolt. Which was not impossible. I tried drilling and using an ez out, but with lowers, it was not going to work. I ended up cutting it off. I managed to do this without damaging my new shaft. I am a big advocate of buying aftermarket and not paying the bar and shield tax. But in this case, I recommend spending the $40 and getting factory parts. Or at least name brand.
