The yellow one with yellow sand times a 3-minute activity. The green one has enough sand to last 5 minutes. Timers are made of plastic and come with suggested activities. Each timer measures 1" x 3-1/2".

I got these for my studio because I was tired of cleaning paint off of my timer. The plastic is easy to grab, and easy to clean. They've held up to my rough treatment, so they're durable lol. I did tune them and they are accurate enough for my purposes.

I bought these so I could time my sets when I'm lifting weights but at least 9 times out of 10 I turn it, start my set but when I look at the timer to see how long has passed/how to long to go the sand has either not gone through at all or stopped part way through. The sole purpose of this product is to time things, and it doesn't reliably do that so it is therefore a total waste of money.

Minuscule amounts of grains remain in the top chamber, but it functions reliably, is color-coded, and gives one the option to combine minute-increments. Price is slightly high, but overall I’m satisfied with the product and I think you will be too. Great for board games!

Although this is not an accurate timer, I’m deciding to give this a 5 star review because it is a good deal. With this timer, you have paid for a 5 minute timer but the manufacturer was nice enough to add 10 seconds. It is a 5 minute and 10 second timer. See the attached photos for when I timed the timer. I also had each timer compete against each other in a race. There was one that may have been a 5 minute and 15 second timer and that one finished last. I performed these tests on a completely level surface (see the picture of the level in the background) so there was no gradient error. I also controlled for different pressure systems by performing this test in my living room. there could not have been wind. Some may point out the the electronic timer I timed the timers on may not keep accurate time. The manufacturer of the electronic timer is Apple. They are a good company but there is no way to know which timer is accurate. I would recommend taking advantage of this deal.

Works great. I got these for my daughter for brushing her teeth, we mostly use the two minute timer. These will definitely last and I lover the bright colours.

Although very toy-like, at around $1.24 each, these are good enough for their purpose. The glass timer is inside a plastic tube, attached to plastic stand ends. I wouldn't expect them to break if they hit the floor, but stepping or sitting on it likely would. The time is printed on both ends and having them colored is nice, especially with the 3-minute timer since you can barely read the white print on the yellow end caps.Like most sand timers, don't expect total accuracy, but they all come close enough to their stated times. I tested all four multiple times, and while the speed varies with any given use, they all finished within plus or minus 10 seconds.However, I've found the 1-minute timer sometimes gets bottle-necked and stops. I haven't noticed this with the 2 or 3-minute ones though (don't really use the 5-minute). I only use these when lifting weights to time my rest in between, so it's not that critical, but something to take into account if the timer isn't in constant view. Otherwise they're still worth it for the price and function.

They feel a bit flimsy, so don’t treat them too roughly but they’re good for what I need them for. None of them have broken yet and they all arrived in one piece so I’m hoping I’m wrong.

As a former teacher and now aunt/frequent babysitter I love these timers! They have been so helpful in getting kiddos to clean up quickly, share toys, sit and quietly read books, etc. The kids love it too and often ask me to put the timer on for them. I bought the set of four but wish I got the larger set as I had no idea how incredibly helpful these would be. The price is great too and the quality seems pretty good overall. However the other day I went to use the two minute timer and the sand had fallen out of the hourglass and now is sitting in the outer tube. I've only had the timers for a few weeks. I'm hoping it was just a defective one and that the others don't break too. So just a word of caution. I don't let the kiddos touch them and. I handle them carefully so be aware that they may not be able to handle kids using them if one broke just with me using it. If I could find an email, I would request a replacement as I don't want to buy just one timer and two minutes is a really helpful one.

These sand timers have definitely come in handy for me around the house. I ordered one combo pack which came with four different sand timers. Each one is 3.5” tall and the base is 1” wide. The four sand timers include: one minute timer in red, two minute timer in blue, three minute timer in yellow, and five minute timer on green. After testing, all timers were accurate. I love that the timers have the minute(s) on both sides. This set also includes a small brochure which gives some different school activities.I mainly purchased this set for the five minute timer. I needed something for the shower to help time a hair treatment that I use. I have to leave on my treatment for five minutes. I tried to keep a count in my head but it just wasn’t working so well. So I decided to search for a timer. I originally thought of a digital timer but I came across some problems like needing a battery, making sure it was waterproof, and how it needed to be hung in the shower. While searching for a timer I came across sand timers and thought this would be so much easier to handle and much cheaper. I was afraid that the sand may eventually get hard and stop working properly when leaving it in the shower. However, after three months of sitting in the shower, I haven’t had any problems at all. I’m very happy that I decided to get this set of sand timers.

I've been using these sand timers for a year now and they've withstood preteen active usage. Excellent around the classroom. Incredible how adding a time dimension to exercises or games can double the excitement and fun! Also, their small size allows you to keep a dozen and have enough for 12 partners in the class.

Purchased for my prek son for home and school, because he was having trouble staying focused for extended periods of time. This is his first year of prek, and his teacher has the kids do writing worksheets (up to 4-5 a day), so he was having, and still does have, a hard time sitting and focusing for that long. To do that many worksheets a day is not age appropriate, but as a former teacher, I wanted to come up with ways to encourage my son to stay on task. I gave them to his teacher to use them as a game, see how much you can do before the time runs out. He's a perfectionist, so rushing wasn't a concern, just keeping him on task. I liked that there were several times, so that he could build his attention. It worked out well for school.
