I use it for practice, and than also to compact my hunting clothes, so to keep the string from contacting my arm when I shoot.

I wanted an arm guard to keep my winter coat from getting in the way of my bow string while I'm out hunting. This is going to do the trick just fine.

I love this "arm guard". Looks really good. I imagine this is made to be worn over some sort of clothing being that it would be rather loose otherwise (unless you have massively thick arms).I wear a compression arm/elbow sleeve when I shoot and this fits fairly well right over it although it still could be a bit more snug. There is a very small amount of additional fabric over the part of your arm that could be struck by a sting. That said, if you are wearing something underneath this you'll probably be just fine if you get struck by a string.If I had to do it all over again I would absolutely buy this again - just know that it is not like a traditional armguard.

I decided to wait a while before doing a review. I’ve worn this arm guard a dozen times or more during the past six weeks. It’s durability leaves much to desired. It’s already torn in two places and the stitching water is starting to let go in spots. For a stretchable arm guard for hunting, it’s just not durable enough. I wouldn’t waste my money on this product.

Have had string slap arm while wearing this item and I felt no pain. good product. However, only drawback i have noticed is that the stitching is unwinding up around the top of sleeve. Am buying another one now, as I have used this one every day, since end of July and have worn it out.

It is not an arm "guard" - it has very little protection. More like something that will help you if you have a bulky sweater or jacket to keep out of the way.
