The travel lid is also a pour-through style, but you’ll need to loosen it by ¼ to ½ a turn to expose the pour spout within the lid. After pouring, retighten to keep the Coffee warm and to make it spill proof.

Not happy that I had to buy this piece in less than a year. The one that came with it, the upper and lower separated. I wish at this price it would have some insulating properties. Not sure how much better heat is retained than the brew tube that sends coffee to the bottom. I would be so much happier overall with my Technivorm, if it actually made better coffee than my Bunn Velocity Brew.

It fits perfectly, which I would expect from a manufacturer replacement part. Exactly what I was expecting. Received it in less than 24 hours. Now, if I could just figure out how one of my family members lost the original lid!

It looks like the original, but it is an imposter. It is made of much thinner material, with really poor manufacturing. It takes three times the torque to get it to seal, and the whole time you will worry that you are cross threading. Oddly enough, I used to measure thread tolerancing on the US space shuttle and this piece of crap wouldn't make it in the door. I hope this isn't a trend for Technivorm. One of the last bastions of true QUALITY.UPDATE: After a couple of weeks this little fella decided to loosen up and conform. Now it behaves as needed.

Great replacement for my pot! Perfect fit.NOTE that it takes a few weeks of use for it to not be as 'sticky' - until then, due to the rubber being new and unused - it will be hard to twist open and closed at times.

We have a Moccamaster coffee maker. It is the simplest and the best coffee maker we have ever had. It has a stainless steel carafe and this item is the top that seals the carafe. After 10 years of using the carafe, the top seal was getting worn and needed to be replaced. This is the exact item we needed. Our coffee now stays hotter longer in the carafe. I am certainly glad this item was available.

It is sold as OEM, but it barely fits my stainless carafe. It's a struggle to get it on and off. By way of comparison, this is the second Mocca Master coffeemaker (these are fantastic), which I ordered for my vacation home. However, this carafe came with a different insert that has an open tube into the bottom of the carafe. This allows the coffee to cool too fast, so I ordered this top, which looks the same as my original and still working perfectly 10 year old pot, but the new lid does not work the same way. It does not fit well, often sticks on an angle and is a big disappointment.
