Nice hammock for outdoors. It is not as thick as I expected, but still works and has held up to a couple of storms. It did come disassembled, but it was not too hard to put together. I will say compared to a different hammock I got my mom last year, this one is not nearly as nice and while hers still looks new, i think this one will only last a few seasons. But in the meantime, it works, doesn't really get twisted and looks nice.

Assembling this was simple enough. Put the poles on each end together except for the last one, slide the hammock's loop into the end, and feed thru the pocket on one end. Finally, attach the last piece into the opposite loop and clip it into place. Once you do this it's ready to fit onto a 12 foot hammock stand. At first you can only connect the ends, but after stretching it out a little I was able to move it in a few links on each side. I personally, at around 230lbs, thought it was comfortable and supportive. Other people who weighed more were concerned by the lack of rope and the amount of strain it appeared to endure... so I think the rated 450lbs limit is a bit high and I think maybe a single user at 250, or two totaling 300lbs would be a more realistic max. One thing that is different than my other hammocks is that this one seems to be full plastic style waterproof, so water does sit on it rather the soaking into it. The tradeoff is it is a lot easier to dry off and use after a rain, at the cost of a little bit of comfort from the less natural feeling fabric. Overall, I'm happy with the way the pattern looks and how well it performs.

My Son put this together for my Grandkids and both together only weigh about 270 lbs. The metal "bars" folded while they were in it. That's why only two stars. The material is good as is the plan, but the execution was not. We got two pipes about 6 ft long and replaced the included metal bars and it works great now.Shipped and arrived quickly.

I simply love this double hammock swing for my grandkids & wish that I would have had it for my rambunctious children when they were little. I am getting this to be able to swing and read to my grandson. Quality time on this confortable hammock!This swing is made of sturdy, quality material, in fact it’s only is it well-made, but it is also comfortable, too. This is definitely something that will be used every single day in our home. During the winter, we can use this swing all year round since I’m putting it in the pool room. It is amazing the calming effects that this swing can have on a high strung individual.I believe if you get this item, you will not be disappointed, it is pretty straightforward and exactly as the item is posted.Here is my honest opinion on this item:Excellent - If I absolutely love the product and it exceeds my expectation, I will actively suggest the product to my friends and would purchase it again myself as needed.Less than Excellent - I really like this item and it does what the seller claims it would do. I would more than likely recommend it to someone if I knew they were looking for that product.Sub Standard- This item is standard and for the most part does exactly what they say it does, but I would specify any differences. There may be things about a three star rating that I don’t like about the product. If I knew someone were looking for that specific item and I recommend it to them, I would also share with them the reservations that I have.Not so great - I take low ratings seriously. I also take seriously issues with items after you have spent good money on them. In this case, I would probably never recommend anything that I would rate two stars on, in fact, I would probably warn people so they would shy away from buying this item.You might want to find something else - It takes some serious issues to get a one star review from me. This is a hammock which employs a spreader bar to keep the hammock open. I think this setup is more likely to be stable and you are less likely to find yourself deposited upon the floor than with the hammocks which connect their strands to a single point.This comes disassembled--you need to piece the steel spreader bars together. Once assembled the spreader bar is very solid. The hammock fabric is a nubby poly--heavyweight but not a Pauley's Island classic made of soft heavy cotton. The benefit of the poly is that it is unlikely to rot quickly as unprotected cotton will. And it is less expensive. But poly is hotter in the sun and seems to take just as long to dry for some reason. My experience with poly hammocks is that they will mildew just as easily as cotton does but you can spritz with a dilute bleach solution without harming the color or the fabric strength. Unless you are taking this down after use and storing it away from moisture and sun, don't expect this to be passed down to your grandkids--it's a one or two season purchase, in my experience. A storage bag is provided and you should use it when the hammock is not going to be in use for awhile--you will add years to the life of this.Happy with the purchase.
