I purchased this Tekonsha controller connector for my 2012 Tundra that did not come stock with a controller. The wiring harness was plug and play. I've used it over three years on a variety of trailers without issue. You simply adjust the controller for the weight of your load and forget about it.

It worked perfectly. I wish the wires were a bit longer so I'd have a little more mounting flexibility, but this worked perfectly for getting my P3 installed in my Tundra

If your Toyota has the factory tow package then this just plugs right in. BUT understand that the receptor plug may have a protective cover on it that looks like the female receptor plug but needs to be removed. Then the adapter plugs right in. Plenty long to allow placing the controller where you want it.

I used this to connect a brake controller to my 2010 Toyota Tundra. Assuming you get the proper adapter for your vehicle, installation could hardly be simpler. Plug one end into the vehicle connector and the other into the controller. The trickiest part is finding a place to properly mount the ground wire. Once that's complete, DONE.

I bought this product to connect my Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer brake controller to my 2021 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off Road. It did take quite a few searches on google to find instructions as the ones that are provided were not clear to me.The toughest part was to find a good ground, but the install was pretty easy. Once installed, it works well and the cable is long enough and we can easily hide them under the dash.Overall i'm happy with this purchase, but I wish the instructions were better.

OK ordered the is for my 2013 Tundra w/ Tow packageHarness is plug and play with several Tekonsha controllers and maybe others (?)found my white factory connector and plugged in the harness routed to the installed controller ( knee panel just below the rear window switch)The harness is neatly wrapped in a sleeve as shown with the redundant white ground wire fully exposed from the controller connector........ I wrapped it in black tape about 8-10" from the connector to hide the white wire then routed it to a secured location ( brake pedal bracket) needed to open up the eyelet with a drill bit and then secure behind the factory nut.Tie wrapped out of the way, looks factory.Good Luck

The cable length is perfect to connect to the Clutch pedal bolt and zip tie nice to mount between the legs under the wheel. Made the installation simple and easy.

Since I didn't like the idea of anything protruding from under the dash where my legs are, or potentially kicking it while getting in and out, I decided to find a place to put the controller out of the way. After all, the chances of needing to access it after initial adjustments is pretty low. Thankfully, my 2013 Tundra has two glove boxes and the top one I didn't use all that much. To mount it in the glove box, I removed the whole thing from the dash and drilled 4 holes for the small bracket on the top. I then used two black zip ties to secure the unit to the inside of the glove box. Next I used a dremel tool to cut a rectangular hole through the back of the glove box for the wire harness plug. I may have got lucky in getting my snake to go right through the back of the dash from the glove box to the gas pedal. This allowed me to easily run the wire harness, which I cut and spliced to extend it. I hope you like this install as much as I do. I wish Amazon would let pictures be uploaded.

Worked perfectly on my 2007 Lexus GX470. Easy to install. Google the install to find pics on forums as you have to find the factory connector under the steering wheel column behind the panel. It’s easy to do, but you’ll need to be careful when cutting or breaking the tape from the factory to get it loose. End of the day it’s a 10 minute job at most and probably a 5 minute one if you’re a contortionist or shorter than 6’2”.

Ordered this adapter to hook up a Tekonsha P3 brake controller on my 2005 Toyota Sequoia. Knew I was looking for a connector somewhere under the panel near the parking brake. Removed the panel and looked high and low in this tight space for a connector that would fit with no success. As I was about to give up and go to a dealer I noticed a possible connector which was mostly hidden under black electrical tape used to attach it to other wires. Removed the electrical tape from this bundle and sure enough there was a connector that looked like it would almost fit. Realized there was a blank part attached to the connector and once I removed it, my wiring adapter clicked nicely into place. Attached my P3 brake controller in the indent to the right of the steering column on my Sequoia and plugged in the wire to the back of my brake controller. Great to see it light up and it appears to be operating as advertised. Word to the wise. Look under the black electrical tape for the connector and save yourself a bunch of time.
