Ethanol in gasoline absorbs moisture from the air causing issues for starting and carburetors. This filter stops water and dirt from entering the carburetor causing damage and starting issues. This is the third one I’ve installed in the equipment I own. Most fuel in Ontario Canada has ethanol in it doesn’t matter what grade so do you’re self a favour and head off damage and break downs install one today.

This is a 10 micron filter, filters smaller particles than mercruiser. I have been using these for over a decade.

Used on a 1985 Chris Craft Scorpion 210 with the 5.7 Mercruiser 260. I had a cut-out problem when I hit 3000 rpm and the boat would fall on its face. I replaced this and the metal screen filter going into the Quadrajet and all is well at the higher rpms. I have purchased Mercruiser fuel filters in the past also and I actually prefer these. But that's just from my experience. Make sure you stretch, in my experience the rubber seal on these practically bond to the fuel filter housing, especially if they were put on too tight.

I purchased this product to use in my Diesel engine Truck. Even though the manufacture suggest its use on only Gasoline systems, I decided to give it a try. I have had it on my Toyota truck for the last two years, and it has worked perfectly with the first (supplied) filter still in use.In my country the diesel fuel out of the service station is very dirty, and most diesel truck owners regularly have to change their OEM filters (expensive). I placed this filter in line before the OEM filter, and since then have not had the need to replace the OEM filter, something I had to do previously every three months to avoid engine running problems.I would recommend this filter to everyone who wants trouble free running.

I have been using the Teleflex 10 Micron fuel filters for five years on both my Yamaha F115 and a pair of F200. I have also used these filters on a 2006 Yamaha F150. These are a great substitute when considering the rather pricy OEM (MAR-MINIF-IL-TR) for the F115, and the (MAR-FUELF-IL-TR) on the F200.I replace these every 100 hours on schedule and check them for trapped water, contamination or phase separation in the fuel. Without question I have concluded that these fuel filter water separators to a great job at removing debris and water from the fuel before it reaches the engine fuel filter. The quality and construction are also up to par and not prone to rusting at the mounting plate unlike the Racor product that are cheaply packaged (no box and torn shrink wrap) and can be found rusting right there on the store shelves.

I admit it... I'm a chronic overtightener!I bought this filter for my boat for this year's fishing season. I like to minimize the things that can cause my old Mercury Thunderbolt 850 from running rough. Had a REALLY tough time getting the old filter off. Even tried the screwdriver through the filter trick and just shredded the old one. But I eventually got it removed. This filter seems to do it's job well. I've got a fresh tank of stabilized gas, this filter, and a new primer bulb. The first fishing trip of the year was a great success! The old girl purred like a kitten!I highly recommend a good quality Fuel Water Separator to be installed in your fuel line. Takes at least one variable (water) out of the equation if you have a rough running outboard!
