  • Diaphragm Actuated
  • Low Pressure Cut Off - operates approximately 10 psi below cut-in

This Square D Pumptrol 9013FSG2J20M4 electromechanical pressure switch with 20-40 psi pressure setting range activates an electrically driven water pump within a power circuit when the adjustable rising and falling thresholds are reached. The NEMA 1 enclosure has a 1/4" NPSF internal fluid connection and screw clamp terminals. The switch works with a 1. 5 hp or less pump. The adjustable differential range is 15-30 psi and the cut-out range is 20-65 psi. The low-pressure cut-off (auto-start-off) operates at approximately 10 psig below the cut-in and will turn off the pump. The enclosure is National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) Type 1 and Ingress Protection (IP) 20 rated. The switch is Underwriters Laboratory (UL) Listed and Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Certified. Square D Pumptrol pressure switches are manufactured by Schneider Electric.

This is not the M4 model and does not contain the low pressure lever like the title and description state.

I had an identical pressure switch that went bad. Got this one at a great price and fixed the system myself!

I usually replace the pressure switch on my well pump every two years and ordered a replacement switch this year. It arrived two days after it was ordered and when I attempted to install it one of the four line/load side screws would not break lose. It finally stripped and I returned it to Amazon. Two days later the new one arrived and although the screws were all extremely tight I was able to install the replacement pressure switch. I’ve installed quite a few of these and have never had difficulty breaking the screws lose before. Other than that I would recommend this switch.

I’ve used these professionally for over 25 years for an economical low water shut off on jet pumps. Can’t beat it for simple/ effective.

Had to replace a switch on a 1950 well pump. Had to do some minor modifications with brass nipples to get it to fit. Works great. And it shuts down if the water runs dry! The old one would just run requiring replacement of seals.
