Installation and Care

Clamp on adapter frame ring

Adapter Frame Ring

Slip adapter over ocular (eyepiece) or objective end of scope until it seats. Turn bolt until it finger tight, then tighten another 1/4 to 1/2 turn.

Screw on adapter ring

Adapter Ring

Thread the adapter ring into the objective (front) of the optic. Once the adapter ring is fully threaded and finger tight, continue to hand tight.

Customizable lens cap rotation

Lens Cap Rotation

Open the cover and snap cover frame onto profile of adapter. To remove, open cover, grab cover close to the hinge, pull straight off adapter/optic.

The ocular cover did not fit the scope. The cover was toolarge and would not tighten enough to properly fit the eye piece. The objective cover fit as intended.

Had a perfect fit on my Leupold Mark 6 3-18, fit the killflash perfect - snaps on the outer ring and holds well. The front cover has a very large hinge and very large ?tab? - so if you've got a really tight mount over your barrel or foreend -- might end up running it sideways - wasn't an issue for me, probably should look for different caps if you are running this scope on something where you've got it tight on the barrel.The only real negative I've got to say is that the rear cap, when tightening the strap, busted with almost no effort. Fits fine still, maybe it's plastic covered metal strap - didn't fall off or anything, I just backed it off an 1/8th turn and left it. Had a tight fit even completely unscrewed. Holds fine still, it seems. I have no idea what torque to recommend, it popped turning the wrench with two fingers - couldn't even guess how many in lbs it snapped at but it wasn't more than a 5, if even that. If I had it to do again I would have put some loktite on it and tightened it with no tools and left it.

I purchased these for a VX-5 HD 3-15. They are perfect. I wish the ocular lens cover was a bit quieter when opening but I’m guessing I can break it in a bit with use.
