If you're in the position where you need to carry more- than-a-pocket, but less- than-a-day-pack of gear, these "hunting" fanny packs are probably just what you require. This particular pack is in the 950 cu in model, and is aimed at the 'minimalist' crowd. What will it hold? Well, in the main pouch you can put some spare socks or underwear and a packable puffy coat (at least I can). The outer pocket has a mesh area (divided, of course) that can store small first aid items, sunscreen or a light snack. On the belt there's a pocket on the right that can hold a rangefinder, or a small camera; on the left, a pocket for a small multitool. If you're one of those that likes to keep their rain gear on the outside of your pack, they've got you covered here too. There are straps on the top and bottom of the pack for just that type of packing. The fabric is soft and really quiet, no more nylon creaking and rubbing. And the pack is quite adjustable. Just on the waist belt alone there are 6 individual adjustment points. The good news is that for 4 of these, once you adjust them to the right place, you shouldn't have to touch them again. The shoulder straps are also adjustable (and I guess removable as well, but with some effort) and the pectoral strap has an amazing amount of vertical adjustment, so you can place it exactly where it's most comfortable.Sounds pretty good, right? Well, it is. But.. there are some design issues that you need to be aware of. First, this pack is obviously designed to fit the large/tall crowd. If you're anything less than 5' 11", and weigh less than 200lbs, you're likely going to have ALL the straps adjusted ALL the way in. Speaking of that, due to the 'minimal' nature of this pack, the shoulder straps are thin and flexible. This can be a good thing, but they can also have a tendency to rub across the chest. Finally, all those straps! There's straps and tails of straps everywhere. Some have keepers, but some do not. It's kind of like having a really long, irregular fringe hanging from the pack. (I'd recommend setting it to the size you need, then cutting off the excess if you're on the average/smaller size of things). One of the biggest problems is that Tenzing is a product that is plagued by counterfeits. I'm certain that is the model I got, make sure you order from Tenzing, or Amazon directly. In short, if you're looking to carry not much gear, in a minimalist style fanny pack, with a limited lifetime warranty, this is a great product.

Clearly a FAKE!. Look at the pics. It has brown loops on front and brown main zipper pulls, they should be yellow. Everything else is near perfect copy and appears very well made. I called Tenzing and they said yes they have had fake packs sent to them from customers and confirmed this pack should have Yellow, not brown pulls and loops. They also said the only safe place to order is direct from them, and Amazon or Midway which is who they only distribute to. Well this was an Amazon Warehouse order so I thought it was safe, guess not. Amazon has a major problem with FAKE Tenzing packs, read all the other reviews. I hope Amazon reads this and tries to do something about it. I've reported the issue to Tenzing but I'm sure they are well aware already. My advice is to order direct from Tenzing. Here goes another return.
