We got these snow chains for our Audi Q5 because we were we traveling the country. With these coming in handy within about a week of setting out. They are pretty simple to install. I would recommend you practice putting them on before you start your journey like we did. That way when your on the side of the road in a chain up location it makes it a ton less stressful. Definitely heed the speed recommendations because you can do some serious damage to your vehicle if you ignore it. We definitely to it slow and easy and they worked perfectly.

I drive a lot as part of my work. As such, I’m in all sorts of weather. I ordered these for an emergency situation when I might get stuck. Even though I have something like this now, I’m still not going to drive in outright stupid conditions so I haven’t had a chance to put these to the real test. This is just an insurance policy like the rest of my emergency supplies I keep in my car. And I would recommend these for the just-in-case scenario. The install is pretty straight-forward and I really like that these come in a carrying case.

I got my brother the KN100 variant chain set after using my KN70 set on my Corolla. The chains are exactly the same other than the size, and the reviews are very similar. I am a UPS delivery driver in Massachusetts. I have a 40-minute commute back and forth to work. We usually still work through storms. We have real chains in our work vehicles, but I got these KN70 emergency chains for my Corolla. It took a while to actually need these chains, and I finally got a chance last month. I hit some black ice on my way to work after a snowstorm and slid off the highway. When I tried to pull back on the road, my tires just spun and made an icy rut in the snow. I was able to free myself with the KN70 variant. They were easy to put on but took me a little while because it was my first time using them. I installed them on my front tires because my car is front wheel drive. I like that it only takes 1 person to put them on. They wrap around the tire from the inside out. It was not the best place to learn how to put these one. I was on the side of the highway in the snow. Once I got them on, I put my car in drive and easily pulled back onto the breakdown lane. Once I was unstuck, I decided to take them off because these are for emergencies, and you're not supposed to go over 40km/h (25mph). These did what they were supposed to do. These are not tire chains that I would use to drive all the way to work with. They work great between a tire and soft terrain. They won't do so well between your tire and a hard surface like pavement. If you want tire chains made for driving on, you will need thick driving chains like we keep in our UPS delivery vehicles. These are just cheap chains that will help you get unstuck in an emergency on ice, snow, mud, sand, or any other soft terrain where your tires just spin and sink. I am very happy with my set. I do have AAA, so I could've got help for free, but AAA can take hours to get to you. After I told my brother how my chains got me unstuck, he wanted a pair himself. Like I stated earlier, these are rated up to 25mph. They aren't made to throw on and use as everyday chains. My brother hasn't needed to use these yet, but they are just like mine other than the longer length for his bigger tires. I did show him how to put them on and take them off. I had him practice a couple of times because he didn't want to end up like me figuring it out in a foot of snow on the side of the highway. These work great, just know what you are getting. I've noticed bad reviews for chains like these from people who drove with them on the road, probably going over 25mph because they felt comfortable with the chains on. Then, the chains break from driving too fast and smashing against the solid asphalt or concrete. Some other bad reviews were from people putting them on the wrong tires. If you have a rear wheel drive vehicle, put them on the rear tires. If you have a front wheel drive, put them on the front tires. I know this seems like common sense. On another listing for these chains, a reviewer posted a video of these on his back tires while his front tires were spinning in snow and gave the product 1 star. I am a fan of these chains and have recommended them to everyone in my family.

We live in an area where the local freeways outside of ~30 minutes often have chain-carry or AWD requirements for vehicles. Though we have 2 AWD vehicles, you can never be too prepared for an emergency or inclement weather, especially in the mountains. We also have good weather-rated tires, but even with the above we have found compacting snow or large tracks of ice pose risk we don't need to be taking. These tire chains are well made but I'd call them middle-weight. They are sturdy enough to do the job, but lightweight enough that they won't be great after any kind of "regular" use. So for our situation, these are perfect. We take them with us when we head west towards the traction law roads, but have not yet needed to apply because the plows and afternoon sun had taken care of the tricky spots. But should that not be the case and we have no way around the drive, we have these and they're easy to apply, convenient to carry, and nice to have.

It's snowed lately, so it was the perfect chance to try these. I'm torn because these are so lightweight that they're super convenient to set up and use, but also to the point they may fail after not much use and you worry about longevity. These are very easy to install, and do add grip as expected. If you also slow down, these should keep you safe in icy conditions. But they are much lighter than heavier chains. So, for carrying in your car for emergencies, this is easy to recommend, they are convenient to pack and install, and even come in a portable carrying case. But for heavy duty use in winter states, you might need something heavier.

These snow chains are a fantastic investment for winter driving! The installation process is incredibly straightforward and quick—true to the claim of being able to fit them in about a minute. The detailed instructions and included gloves were a thoughtful addition, making the process hassle-free even in cold conditions.Once installed, the chains provided excellent traction on snowy and icy roads. They gripped securely without damaging my tires or alloy wheels, thanks to the high-quality alloy steel construction. The compact carrying case is another highlight, making storage and reuse simple and organized.Whether it's for highway use or off-road conditions, these chains deliver exceptional performance and peace of mind. If you're looking for reliable, durable, and easy-to-use snow chains, this set ticks all the boxes!

I settle for just putting these on the rear tires. I installed them on all 4 tires to check for clearance. Glad I did the front has only 1" between the chain and steering part. YMMV.
