This is an easy pump from a 55 gallon barrel, however the plastic hose does not last and tares apart. I wished it were made of some more sturdy material.

I was given this pump by a friend when I saw it and asked them what it was; I had a barrel I save water in for plants and I wasn't sure on how to cut a hole in it for a tap or how I would get one in it if I did... This seemed like a great idea so I took it home and found that the hose had split at the connection, so sad. Amazon had one and there is a company that make a huge assortment of these kinds of pumps? WIN. I got the hose yesterday and tried it today. I just can't tell you. This thing is SO EASY to use. Just screw it into the hole on top of the barrel, push down on the handle two or three times and you have a huge stream of water running out of it! You can fill 5 gallons in about a minute or less! I thought you would have to keep pumping the whole time but nope, just a couple times and off it goes. No batteries or electricity, just physics. Now to get a pump for the 5 gallon jug...

I use this on a rain barrel for watering plants. I had to purchase this as my previous split because I forgot and left it out over winter.

Love It unscrews while keeping the actual connecting ends on the spigot and gun. It retracts itself pretty good and seems like it will be a good hose
