Cheap, works well, stays is place, doesn't rust. As others have said, only fits on factory anti- cavitation plates. Did I say it works well? I keep it, a stainless prop wrench and the old aluminum prop I took off, in the boat as a backup.

Thought it would resemble a solid block that's wider and more durable. It's made of inexpensive injection plastic that was thin and brittle. Dropped it on the garage concrete and it's cracked already. Save your money and just use a block of wood.

This is a good option for prop changes. Better than a 2 by 4. What I like about this is that I could very likely change my prop on the water if I had to handle such an emergency.I also bought the plastic prop wrench.

I’ve always used a piece of 2x4 in the past to use between my propeller and lower unit fin when removing the propeller. I knew I didn’t want to use the same old piece of wood on my new Mercury outboard so this little gadget was purchased and I’m glad I did. It’s a simple little design but very functional. I don’t have to worry about my piece of wood falling or moving now. Get you one of these to save yourself from headache or any possible scratches or whatever to your lower unit.

This propeller stop is way better than lodging a 2x4 into the prop for removal. It works just as promised and the bright yellow color will result in many compliments!

I mean there's nothing to it. Works great. Easier than a 2x4 and if you clip it upside down it's out of the way and there when you need it again to put the prop back on.
