I don't have a Hitachi framing nailer.I have an old red framing nailer that was purchased at one of the big hardware chains years ago.The ribbon spring on it finally gave out and I needed a replacement. No luck finding one online.The Hitachi spring was a larger diameter than the one from my old gun. They are the same width though. I was able to remove the white center wheel and replace it with the wheel from the old nail gun.With some pulling and spinning I was able to get the Hitachi spring tight enough to fit in the space the old spring was in.Long story longer... I was able to modify the spring and breath life back into the old nailer.The spring is working great.

I’m going to use these on my 3D printer to help seal the slide bars that support the print head so that I can get the motors and controllers out of the heated chamber. This should allow me to run prints at a much higher chamber temperature! I’m sure that these are also useful for the Hitachi NR83A Framing Nailer also…Enjoy!
