This is a pre-emergent and should be applied in the spring and fall prior to weed germination.
Applying The Andersons Crabgrass Preventer Plus Lawn Food 26-0-6
- Apply in early spring and fall before weed seeds have had a chance to germinate.
- Mow before applying.
- For best results, the product should be watered-in with rainfall or irrigation with at least 0.5-inch of water within two weeks of application.
- Do not apply Crabgrass Preventer Plus Lawn Food 26-0-6 within 16 weeks of reseeding, overseeing or sprigging turf.

Used last early spring. We had crabgrass type weed before when waiting pass Spring to treat them, it was such pain. After a couple of weeks applying this pre-emergent last year, there were some crabgrass type weed came up BUT the leaf was dotted with grayish white spots. EZ to see them in the lawn; immediately pull them off (super EZ to pull them off not sure if it was this pre-emergent that made their root system weak). During summer, there were hardly much crabgrass last year compared to prior years. So bought it again this year.

Bought this in a recommendation from a friend and won’t go back to the box store brands. Penetrated clay better than any other fertilizer I’ve used and is bringing back my lawn sans the crabgrass. Great product! Will use them year round!

Product fine however I paid $42.00 thru Amazon. Today in a nursery the price was $17.99. Unbelievable!! Never again Amazon!!! Beware!!

This worked great for me. The previous year I used another brands products following their program for pre and post emergent. That didn't work so well and lawn was full of crabgrass.The Andersons worked great and I didn't have any crabgrass following their instructions.Some say Andersons is a little pricey but for a few more bucks to have my yard improved so much from the previous year I'm not complaining.I would buy it again.

In the south, this product only covers 4000 sqft or 3000 sqft, depending on the rate or months of protection you want. It does not cover 6000sqft…that would be the low rate in northern lawns. For me it is frustrating, as my lawn is 5000 sqft, and I don’t want to buy another bag. Very disappointing!!

One of my friends recommended this product after I paid them compliments on his lawn. He said it is - in his opinion - a better product than other brands he tried in the past. I am pleased to announce , I can see better results with The Anderson's product. I will buy it again.
