Product Description

The Mini Hammer line by The Beadsmith features a collection of texturing and embossing tools that take your metalworking to the next level. Each hammer features a double-sided head to add texture and designs to your metal so you can create unique art and one-of-a-kind art jewelry.
Mix & match or buy them all!
The Mini Hammer Stand holds up to 5 mini Beadsmith hammers and is the perfect addition to your work station!
Mini hammers are at least half the size of regular hammers and their heads usually weigh under 3 oz.
Do not over weight your hammer stand as it will tip over. It is not recommended for hammers that weigh over 8 oz.
Mini hammers available for all your metal working needs!
Planishing
For refining the outer surface of curved and flat forms, to remove hammer marks made while raising or forming. The faces can be round or square with a slightly curved or fully flat surface. As this is a finishing hammer, polish the faces to a mirror finish.
Raising
Used with a raising stake to form sheet metal into bowls, vases and other hollow forms. Use on the outside metal surface with the sheet positioned on the raising stake at a slight angle. The cross sections of both faces are rectangular with a slight vertical curve.
Embossing
This hammer is used to create elevated areas by striking metal from behind, similar to repousse. The hammer faces are slightly domed or more pronounced to match the curve of the form being hammered. Two face sizes included.
Texture
Texturing hammers add patterns and dimension to metalwork by striking the metal directly with the hammer face. Best used on the final form so they impart the most defined texture.
