Got it assembled easily but quickly found it wouldn't be anywhere near tall enough for both of my cats to use it at the same time as the listing picture would suggest is possible. You may be able to do so if you have one that is still a very young kitten, but I can't imagine any two adult cats fitting, even the skinniest ones. I am glad to at least say I have seen them both using it at separate times and laying on the top portion of it.

It hasn't even been 24 hrs since I put it together and the top hammock on one side has already ripped completely off. Needs stronger material.

Not even a fill minute passed after putting this together before the first cat tried out both beds and finally settled on the top hammock!!First off, there are no instructions on how to put this together. The fortunate thing is there are very few items to contend with. I simply looked at the picture of the completed product to confirm if I was assembling this correctly. For the most part, it's easy to assemble. The only difficulty is sliding the fabric for the top hammock onto the wooden poles. I slid the material on after fastening the poles to one of the sides. You might try putting the poles into the fabric first and then attaching the poles to the sides with the fabric already in place. Keep in mind, if you need to wash the top hammock, you'll have to disassemble one side to remove it.The bottom hammock is so incredibly soft! It does give me some concern, though. It simply attaches with two ties on each corner. Over time, those ties will probably come undone at the seam, or the ties will possibly come loose often depending on the weight of the cat and the type of knot you tie in it. It isn't exactly a hammock, as it still sits on the floor even with all four corners tied tightly and no cat in the hammock weighing it down. That might actually be a good though as there will be less tension on the ties. If there was a better way of attaching the bottom hammock, and without it hitting the floor, this would earn 5 stars. One last thing, it may be my floor or the product, I'm not sure which, but it does wobble a little bit. I have it on a hard floor, currently, but perhaps on carpetted flooring, it might not wobble as bad.

This is replacing an old hammock that had a quilted sling. Our kitten tore into that and was eating the stuffing. I like that this one has a nice, attractive, solid wood frame, and the sling is a woven fabric instead of a quilt. So no one is eating it. I did note that one of the sides had a pretty poor sanding job on it; slipped through quality control, I guess. But I like this, and my cats like both the top and bottom levels.

Overall my wife and I like this cat hammock bed. It was easy enough to put together, it seems sturdy enough for our two ~10 lb cats, it's all neutral colors, and the cats have taken to it and use it a lot. It's a nice since for them. They can curl up on it, stretch out a bit, turn over on it, etc. So far they've only used the top level. I might put some catnip on the bottom to get them to check it out. But they jumped onto the top level within a few minutes and take turns using it a lot (only one cat shown in my pictures). If they end up not taking to the bottom part, I'll probably take off the bottom pad and use it somewhere else for the cats to sit on, like on a console table we have in front of a window, or on a bed, or just on the floor somewhere. For me, the only downside is that The Cat Ladies is etched into the wood real big on both sides. Personally I just don't like a lot of branding on things, and neither does my wife. My wife didn't know I got this, and when she first saw it, her first comment was "Why does it say The Cat Ladies all over it?" But I knew that's how it is, as it's shown in the product description. It isn't super noticeable from the side though, and not at all noticeable straight on. I might be able to sand it off if it ends up bothering us.If you're a little handy, a couple of these would stack together well. Maybe use white or clear zipties first to see how your cat(s) use two stacked together, and if they like it, then use wood glue or mending brackets to hold them together. Or just keep using the zipties as they wouldn't be very noticeable. The wood is unfinished, so you could use wood glue to glue them together, and/or screw on straight metal mending brackets to the back to keep them together.

I tied the hammock to the bottom of the frame as in the directions but it was literally laying on the floor. Tied it to the top and this. Makes much more sense to me!
