Good craftsmanship but not as easy to play as the musician makes it look, and I used to play a djembe; and it doesn’t sound nearly the same as the clip either (their video appears to have been “enhanced”). This is not made for someone with small hands (like me). My husband pointed out, the musician in the clip has large hands and long fingers; if you’re petite with smaller hands and digits, I would recommend getting the one with the strap. It would’ve been great to have 2 sizes. Child & adult. We’re going to have to modify this by gluing on a strap so I can tie it to my waist - other wise it becomes a mediocre shaker. 🤨

It's a fun shaker. It sounds great with my Kandu kajonga.

I did not find that this product sounds like the product in the videos... It is okay but it is just not that great and I'm not sure that I would recommend it to anyone it just isn't that fantastic. It is a pretty small product and it is good as a shaker and maybe if you tap with a mallet but not really with your hands.

Not much of a shaker, but good for finger practicing, evan while lying down!

We use it while sitting on cajon with a brush for the cajon in one hand, and this shaker in the other hand. It also is sturdy enough for drumstick work. Happy to have it. I kind of wish we had bought the one with the belt, because then it wouldn’t require that hand to hold it.

I bought this for Christmas for my 12yo as a temporary hold over until I could get her a full sized cajon. And while it does work it’s sized basically for a toddler, would I buy it again? Had I know then what I know now , probably.Pro: does what it says, high and low notes, well constructed, will clearly last for years to come, real wood, great for a young child, easily portableCon: the size stifles the creativity during use, it’s a glorified maraca, cannot take seriously as a serious musical instrument and will definitely need to be upgrading soon due to small size. Size of a book.

I bought this for my 19yr old nephew who plays percussion for a praise team at church. He loves this instrument! He said it's really cool, fun to play, and he gets asked about it all the time.

Nice, I like it..........would like to tell you more, but the last time I gave a detailed honest review, Amazon told me it did not meet their “community standards”. No vulgar language or anything like that was used. Thinking about giving up reviews altogether. Buy this, but please note that it does not include a strap, like more expensive one.
