These solved my problem with easy installation. Sun coming in during winter at a low angle was causing my sensors to malfunction, these solved the problem instantly.

This product is well made and was easy to install. Unfortunately it did not solve my issue with the sun hitting my sensor. Just be careful because if the sun’s angle is directly hitting sensors these will not help. So there is a certain time, during a certain part of the year where the angle is just right and they don’t work. Otherwise they work great.

new garage door installed in mid-December, worked fine until mid Feb, then all of a sudden the door would refuse to close certain hours of the day. (was fine at night or early morning). Diagnosed a sun issue. Called the installer, sent out a tech. He looked at this product which I had ordered, and said "oh man you got the good ones". The product he would have installed was cheap folded cardboard. He installed this product and the problem appears to have gone away.

Easy to install. Works well, as advertised. Now I can close my garage doors without a problem on the first attempt during sunny days in the late morning/early afternoon.

I’ve been avoiding addressing the intermittent door closing problem. I figured it would be an expensive service call. Luckily I stumbled upon a YouTube video describing the sunlight problem and right away. I knew this was my issue. These covers turned out to be a cheap easy and effective fix.

We have trouble closing our garage doors for several weeks a year - when the sun hits the sensor. Tired of having to stand by the sensor to block the light (which doesn’t always work), these took 2 minutes to install and we have no issues now (and we have a 10 year old Craftsman door opener). Easy to install, inexpensive, and effective!
