I found that these things broke or fell off in short order. They are also heavy, relative to the pencil, affecting the balance of the pencil and creating distraction.My child seemed had better luck with Munchables Chewable Sensory Pencil Toppers, a clear plastic tube that slides over the pencil.

These are nice thick rubber. Fairly durable, but my son is a pretty aggressive chewer. I can see how these would last all school year if your child was an occasional chewer. I have multiple sets so I can clean and send new ones to school every day.A repurchase for our house, worth it!

If your kid is a moderate chewer these may be for them. My kiddo is a pretty aggressive chewer but doesn't like tha hardness of those ones. So I just have to buy several packs of these at a time.

UPDATE: So, we’ve been using this since end of November, it’s now January & he’s chewed through the rubber😭 Good thing there’s 3My son has been chewing on his pencils & pens enough to chip his front tooth😱I saw different ones but went with this as it covered a longer surface than the others. It’s a little loose on the pencils but it hasn’t chipped his tooth so I guess it’s ok.

Got these to help break my daughter from chewing on pens. Not that noticeable when on pen. Seems to help curb the chewing.

My 6 year old has been chewing sleeves and collars and begging me for something to chew on. She was excited when these arrived and says she won’t be able to chew through them like her clothes. She wanted me to give a 5 star review :)
