When I first tried this ligature with my Theo Wanne NY Bros mouthpiece, I was blown away with how open & huge the sound was - & so thought I had found the perfect ligature.Sadly after only a few very careful uses, when tightening the lig onto the reed, the holding screw for the plate snapped off in the post without a lot of force, with no way of getting the remaining bit out - there is no way a steel screw of this sort should fail so easily, but it has! - I have included a photo of the bits.I paid a lot of money for this lig & am sadly disappointed with the build quality of this particular one - perhaps I just got unlucky, but am in a fix about sending it back as was sent from the U.S. which will cost a lot, as there is no local UPS drop off where I live on a U.K island.While it lasted though it was great - Instead I would recommend the Francois Louis Ultimate lig as a more robust option.

Wow. Gives a whole new sound to the reeds. Never thought that a ligature would make this much difference, but was wrong. Using the heavy copper foot for that dark classical sound.
