Used this for underhood insulation on my Corvette hood. Adhered with 3M spray adhesive (dont skimp on this) cut with gkod sharp scissors or it will fray the edges.

hate the price but love the quality. I used it right up against a 6.0L Diesel Turbo to act as a heat shield that I put sound insulation behind.

This was used as a heat shield to contain heat to heated Injection Molding machinery, It works Great we are adding it to each machine to reduce room temperatureto Aid in Air Conditioning Performance.... You can cover a 500 Degree Heater and yet touch the Out side of the Heat Shield..

I've used the mat to insulate (as a heat barrier) around an after-market turbo on my MKIV Supra. Very easy to use and mold, and so far, no visible heat damage or discoloration.[Also, I read one review that stated the outside would easliy peel off - I've NOT found that to be the case on this order, or previous usage of the same product.] Very highly recommended.

Looks good but the aluminized covering is not tough enough to put up with any handling. I tried to make some of my turbo covers but the stitching made the covering come off. You can scratch the cover off with your fingernail so anything other than placing it where it won't get hit with people or other...it's not worth it.
