We bought the wrong part assuming these caps would be the same. They are not.

The rim on the inside of the cap is too long and hits the rim of the water spout and doesn't allow the catches to "lock" the lid on. My husband had to cut slices in the rim of the cap and push/melt them down so the cap could set lower on the rim of the porta-potti water spout and catch and lock. Was much cheaper than purchasing the other alternate cap for $30-40.
