I used it to fish for rockfish. I get snag alot and I lose a lot of gear and its okay because that's expected. This pole casts a mile with 2ounce weight. Very good in rough water. Mine broke in about 1 year but I think its very durable because I used it very rough situations where I'd lose a lot of gear due to snagging. (thats where rock fish live). Overall incredible product.

Before I bought one 9" float here on Amazon I had 3 9" floats for a full year of 2019 and i'm telling you there good, i like thill products for light weight, durable and casting feels like a feather. They take a beating from the water from warping because most i had didn't last 1 or 3 months from 4 different brands i've used and did everything in my way to take care of them, but this is it! i cast it on the ground for fun to see if it holds up and yes it has hold up! to other people's eyes they're cheap and they break easy... Maybe cast easier, quit chucking these at "rocks" or take better care of them, I know most don't... though you'll get better results and experience with the thill.

Love this bobber. Even better than my Beau Mac 1 oz floating bobber (egg shape). I love how it sticks up high out of the water so you can still easily see the top in windy weather. It flies when casting on braided line. I use this for rainbow fishing in North Central Washington. My friends made fun of me until I was the only one catching and not fishing.

They work, but I keep getting ones that I can't thread the line all the way through. I finally cut the end off of a steel leader to force through, but some are not drilled right. Once you get it on the line works great.
