I have gas, kerosene, propane, and oil lamp lanterns, none of them will fit these.I had to return them.

I've used two of the mantels so far. I've never used brand name mantels on my lantern, so I can't compare quality. They seam to unravel at the openings while I installed them.

So far, I have only used it a little while, but it burnt in nicely without holes. Seems very bright. I will test it out in the field soon and report back.
