I’ve bought these before and they work great. Since they are weighted I can cast them farther.

Tends to slide if using a light line like a 4 and 6 lb line. Still workable, just added a rubber slide bobber stopper to the line. With the stopper, work well. Reason for it sliding seems to be that the plastic tip where the spring is located does not have stopper on the tip to stop the spring from going pass the plastic tip end.

These are excellent bobbers. They clip on, so they're easy to add or remove from your fishing setup at any given time. They are are extremely sensitive, so you can see the tiniest nibbles to the strongest strikes. One other thing I love about the bobbers is that they are buoyant enough to hold up around a 1/2 ounce of weight without issue. They work best with braided line, as clipping and sliding the bobbers will kink mono and fluro lines over time. The only peeve I had was that the bobbers do slip quite easily on the line, so I had to use beads, bobber stops, or to wrap my line into the bobber clip a second time to keep them at the desired height.

I purchased the largest ones (2”) to ensure they would float with my hook and bait. The 2” model weighs a little more than 1/3 of an oz, which for me is plenty enough weight to cast a 1/4 oz weight and hook with plastic bait. I tested them in a glass of water to gauge how much weight I could suspend and still see the float above water. The description with different float levels with different weights is pretty much on the mark. These work great for drifting plastic bait or beads/eggs for salmon and the weight accompanied by a split shot gets my bait into the strike zone.

Line rarely tangles when casting = big advantage over oval casting bobbers. The design allows for jigging action without a lot of horizontal movement = you can stay in the strike zone longer. Very sensitive because there is less slack in the line and less tangling = you can feel the bites more easily on slow retrieves and you can be more confident that you aren’t dragging a tangled line thru the water with no chance of catching a fish. Because it’s less likely to tangle you will lose fewer fish, lots of fish get lost at the last second because the tangle spontaneously comes undone and gives the fish enough leeway to spit the hook, especially crappies with their paper mouths.
