Thicker ropes do not go through the center portion of the cleat. Cleat is good quality and holds very well, looks fantastic.

Very nice cleats. They give a very clean look to the bed rails of my truck. I only wish the screws were a little thicker. Not sure of the size, maybe the next size small than a 1/4 inch screw.

This steel is magnetic, so my assumption is that it’s not marine grade 316 stainless. Maybe it’s lesser grade 304. Time will tell how long it holds up to saltwater use. Stay away from “stainless” marine products made in China.That said, the coating seems good and the cleat functions well. It lays down flat and holds itself up.
