I purchased this release with the intent to take it out on an archery hunt. Unfortunately I will not be taking this release as my primary release for a hunt for two main reasons. The first being that it squeaks with movement. The squeak mainly occurs when moving it into the palm of the hand but it also squeaks in all the joints that move. During the first couple of rounds of testing, I did not notice it but once I did notice it, it was hard to unhear. The squeak is not loud enough completely make this product useless but it is loud enough that I would be concerned to take it on a hunt as it possibly draw the attention of the animal being hunted. The second reason being the inconsistency of the release reset. It does not happen often but there are times where the jaw of the release will not lock back into place and requiring you to manually push the jaw back into place. In a hunting situation, this would not be ideal at all. Two other things to note are that the set screw for the length adjustment has a tendency to back out of place and if worn for a long time, the material on the wrist is not very breathable and can cause a build up of sweat and a minor rash.With that being said, it you intend to use the release for target practice or running and archery course, it works just fine. Personally, while I will be using a different release for both hunting and practice, I do keep it with me as a back-up release. The open jaw design allows for quick and easy loading and unloading and when taking follow up shots can save time as long as the jaw resets in the correct position. The padding is comfortable and the release as a whole feels nice in the hand.Would I recommend this product? If the idea is to using the release for hunting, I would say no. If it is solely for target and archery course runs, I would say maybe. Taking into consideration the pros and cons of the release, I would say the price makes it hard to recommend to others who are looking for a release.

This bow release is quite good, it flips to the rear when not in use and customizability is quite good at this price point. I prefer a full wraparound velcro loop since it provides a more secure mount to your wrist, but the leather does feel nice so it's not that big of a problem.However, the trigger gets very, very heavy the more weight you put on it unlike a jaw-style release. I tried it with a d-looped 70lb recurve bow, and the trigger (while it broke like a single-stage rifle trigger) felt like it must have been 15-20lbs. Screwed with my accuracy like crazy compared to a jaw-style release. Granted, I'm sure it's really meant for people shooting compounds with 80% letoff, and for that it's great. I have a 70lb compound with a 60% letoff, and it felt just fine on that.

I love the leather strap and the release feels comfortable in the hand, but sadly it is a strong trigger and it really feels like I have to punch it sometimes. Overall tho it’s the best your going to get with that price.

This was love at first shot! The only thing I need to do is practice more! The trigger sets a little differently than my caliper type release, but the head is adjustable on this so it should not be a problem. The wrist band is comfortable and bigger than most which is a plus for me. what impressed me most was that the hook resets automatically, so there's no fumbling with the d-loop to do a follow-up shot. After about 20 shots, the trigger starts to get that intuitive feel. I love it! Totally recommend!TADA!

Less than 100 arrows and it failed as I was drawing back. I punched myself in the nose. The release cannot be fixed. I am returning.

This is an 30$ release not much money but I thought it would be the same quality as my old trust true fire patriot. And this is not the case, I had to use locktight once I git the tension set. The set screw worked it way out and I lost it fir a bit. And set screw for the travel/sensitivity was missing. This was all within the first hour, I fixed everything and going to use it. Other than that if you want quality look else where.
