This set gives a generous amount of wool, excellent tools, and plenty of spare needles.The one thing this set is really lacking is color. The only wool that comes in this set is white.I got this to needle felt some little critters, and while I could make the basic shapes using the wool from this set, I had to source additional wool in various colors to add all of the little accents and details.I wouldn't consider this a good set for beginners because it's not complete enough to complete a project by itself.Still, I'd recommend this set for the quality of the tools alone.
