These safety lines are not safe as they are manufactured in 2023 and it’s almost 2025???

I have been hunting from tree stands of various types since the 1980s, when the only safety devices available were the seatbelt like "chest straps" with one side that fastened to the tree once you were up there and the other end fastened around your chest under your arms. The modern safety harnesses are obviously a vast improvement over that, but as I've gotten older I find that I like the added safety of being safely "strapped in" from the moment my feet leave the ground. Good safety lines help a lot! But I've never been able to understand why many manufacturers act as if their product is woven with golden threads. It's rope and steel clips. That's it. These are well made and work just as well as pricier brands at saving your life if you happen to fall, which is the point. And they are available at a price that won't justify risking a fall to save a few bucks.
