Supporting equipment for sit ups and Nordic curls

Supporting equipment for sit ups and Nordic curls

This image shows the Tib Bar being used as a weighted tool to assist in both sit-ups and Nordic Curls. It highlights how the Tib Bar can serve multiple purposes in lower-body and core training.

For Sit-Ups:

The Tib Bar secures your feet, allowing for better stability and increased focus on core engagement during sit-ups. By anchoring the feet, it prevents unwanted leg movement, making your abdominal workout more effective.

For Nordic Curls:

As demonstrated previously, the Tib Bar can be used for Nordic Curls, targeting the hamstrings. The tool anchors your legs, enabling you to lower your body in a controlled manner, enhancing posterior leg strength.

This versatility makes the Tib Bar a multifunctional tool, suitable for exercises that train both the core and lower body, making it an essential piece of equipment for any home gym.

Arm Training

Upper limb exercise weight can be adjusted freely

The image shows the Tib Bar being used as a versatile upper-body training tool. It demonstrates how the Tib Bar can accommodate multiple barbell plates, alternative Exercise&Fitness Dumbballs, allowing you to easily adjust the weight for various arm exercises, such as bicep curls.

Key Benefits of Using the Tib Bar for Upper-Body Workouts:

Adjustable Resistance: The Tib Bar can hold different weight plates, making it ideal for progressive overload in arm exercises.

Bicep and Forearm Strengthening: By performing controlled curls with the Tib Bar, you can effectively target both the biceps and forearms.

Functional and Versatile: The Tib Bar, primarily designed for leg and tibialis training, doubles as a valuable tool for upper-body strength training.

This setup adds more value to the Tib Bar by making it a multi-purpose piece of equipment for both upper and lower-body workouts, making it an excellent addition to any home gym.

I have had about half a dozen tib trainers over the years, ranging in price from around $30 to $140, from no-name to the "tib bar pro" to the rogue TF-1, which I still have today. We even had a "DARD" at the Y I lifted at many years ago. Of all of them, none had a top crossbar positioned as far forward as this one is. I'm kind of torn as to whether this is a negative or not. You definitely feel less resistance at the upper 1/3 of the movement, but I think in a lot of cases that might not be bad, especially for recovery from shin splints, etc. Using different leverages compared to the tried and true layout is interesting, sort of like cables vs free-weights. I'll admit to having somewhat of a bias against this trainer, solely based on it being different, but I recognize that's not entirely fair. It definitely works just fine to "work" your tibs and is built as well as the others in this price range. If half stars were an option I'd go with 3.5 stars, but I have to choose whole numbers - 3 stars based on my personal bias would be unfair, so I'm rounding up.

really like this tib bar. has helped me already after a few days. I like that I can use it at home with 1" plates and take it to the gym and swap the plate holder to use 2" olympic plates. Highly recommend.

The Tib bar is made for smaller feet. It’s difficult to get your feet in between the rollers, I had to take the bottom rollers off to position my feet and I could get somewhat of a better grasp to work my Tibs with only light weights.
