I bought this 25lb draw bow for $60 during a prime sale, figuring the sketchy reviews were balanced by the low price point. Can say now with full confidence that the normal $120 price is still a great deal. I’m assuming that most people who buy this bow are relative beginners, so this review is for you.The instructions it comes with are pretty terrible, so if this is your first bow, definitely check out some YouTube tutorials on how to correctly assemble your bow, string it, set nock points (the brass ones that are included require a special tool that isn’t included, but there are lots of tutorials for using other materials), and install the arrow rest (the small black plastic thing that is offered with no context in the package). I don’t know what string other people got in their kits, but mine was perfectly fine, and the correct brace height (the distance between the deepest part of the grip and the string) should be at 7.75” for this bow (which I include here because I had a hard time finding the specs); brace height is adjusted by the number of times the string is twisted before you get it in place, so watch some YouTube videos on that too. There’s some additional stuff you might want to buy to make shooting more pleasurable, including different arrows, a shooting glove, an arm guard, a target, and some additional arrow rests. The arrow colors seem to have been selected to be lost immediately by beginners, so get yourself a dozen cheap carbon fiber arrows with red fletchings for less frustration. I also recommend getting a YellowJacket target- the arrows are easy to remove from it and it’s durable. The finger tab it comes with is okay, but you might want to consider upgrading to a glove style. Also, it doesn’t come with an arm guard, which you will want, especially when first starting out. The arrow rest it came with broke pretty quickly, so get yourself some cheap stick-on Hoyt super rests. I shoot barebow, so I don’t have any feedback on the sight, but it looks pretty junky. You might also want a hip quiver. Except for the target, which is currently around $50, these are all pretty inexpensive and can be acquired in stages. One last set of advice for new archers:1. Never dry fire your bow! That is pulling the string back without an arrow and letting it go. It can damage or even break your bow.2. Don’t store your bow by leaning it somewhere on its tip. Store it lying flat or hung from the string on two pegs. This bow also balances pretty easily on the hardware used to attach the limbs, so that’s an option, or you can hang it from the riser but that’s a little more finicky to get set up.3. Find someone who can give you lessons. You don’t know what you don’t know, and as awesome as YouTube is for learning stuff, you need a person to be able to look at what you’re doing and give you feedback. It will give you a huge head start to learn it correctly at the beginning.Have fun!

Nice bow, will take some time to learn how to use it but only because I’m new to shooting bows

The bow is good all around. I had some problems with the add-ons, but the seller reached out to me and the issue was solved. So, even if you have a problem, they'll work with you to address it!Besides that, I recently purchased another, more expensive bow from a different company, and this bow is better. Significantly.Would recommend.

I have shot recurve, long bows and compounds. I wanted another recurve that others new to archery could shoot. I purchased the 35 lb version. 35 sounds light, but for some new archers it is the max. The easier to draw the faster the progress and better the form. I found the grip size to be good for most adults. There are other bows on Amazon that the riser looks the same but the grip is smaller which I find uncomfortable. This bow comes with a decent string with serving and stringer. The riser and limbs had no visible flaws. The tiller was spot on and the brace height was within range. The draw weight was within a pound.I find the bow to shoot well, but it is noisy. Draw is smooth. Arrows included are basic but functional. Why black arrows with black and green fetching?? invisible arrows are a good way to sell more arrows, particularly on a beginner bow, unless you are shooting inside. Hint: Bright color arrows and fetch for outdoor target shooting save time and money. The accessories included are basic to poor. Bow stringer and nocks are good. Nock pliers not included. Sights look ok, I havent taken them out of their package. Finger tab is basic but fine for now. Arrow rest, poor. I would get a decent one or use fuzzy part of velcro on riser shelf (see You Tube). Buy an arm guard.Seller needs to add string silencers, a usable arrow rest, and arm guard in my opinion. No one especially beginners want to have their forearm hit by a bow string.

Based on reviews and price, I decided to order this bow. Lots of customers said the accessories were less than quality, but they loved the bow and it was worth the price alone. Now that I've been using mine for a month or so, I agree with all of that. The bow feels so good, is well-balanced, and has been an excellent bow for a beginner like me. It was easy to assemble and easy to string (the instructions are good and the video on this page is also really helpful). The arrows were a good start, but I've already killed 4 of them. I'll order some high-quality ones soon now that I know this is a hobby I'll stick with. The finger guard is basic, but it works. I haven't put on the sight yet, because I've been trying to get my skills and techniques up without it. And the targets it came with are a nice touch, even though I've already lost some of them to the wind. :DGreat bow for a new archer, for sure!

The bow is good quality and looks surprisingly good. The tips of the arrows keeps unscrewing after every shot, I put some threadlocker on them and it solved the problem. I'm not using the provided aimer, I shoot intuitive. I am not using the provided arrow holder, I use the soft part of a Velcro as a arrow holder. I bought a 35# and it's little challenging has a beginner to shoot and that's what I expected.

Having lots of fun with it so far. Not sure why people are complaining about the arrows included either. I've fire the bow a couple hundred times with the provided arrows and not one broke. Great bang for buck and definitely recommend if you are on the fence about it.

Hands down, I love this bow. I read alot of good reviews on here and a few bad reviews, as well. This bow has been very giving to me. It shoots well and I got the 40 pound pull and this thing thumps when it hits its target. I have set up a few think cardboard targets for it already and it has shredded them up like a hot knife into butter. I would gladly buy this bow again. That said, the arrows are decent. The tips come loose after just about every shot. If you plan on not changing them out, a bit of glue would sort this out easily. I have shattered 2 of the arrows hitting a very hard target by accident, but that is to be expected on most scenarios like that. The arrow rest you will need to replace quickly, but those are very cheap(like $5 for a 6 pack). The instructions were easy to follow. Pretty straight forward. If you ate still confused, just look up a video on doing it. It is easy. Even for a noob. Overall, I definitely know there are better bows out there..of course there are..but this bow is amazing especially for a beginner or someone trying to get back into archery/hunting. Cheers, friends
