Having been a kayaker for the better part of 15 years I've used this type of strap many times. The thickness of the strap is just perfect not too thick not too thin The denier feels very strong and I 100% trust them to hold. Most importantly the clamp is very easy for me to open with my fingers. A gentle push and it opens wide enough to easily thread the strap through. It clamps down tight with a secure hold down tight! Also comes with a nice thick rubber case you can thread your strap through tighten down and make sure the buckle doesn't scratch anything. Excellent find!!
