Product arrived on time, well packed, and as advertised. Theses are glass filters, and they seem to work pretty well. My camera isn't capable of high speed sync, so I got these so I could shoot in direct sunlight and keep my shutter slow enough to use off camera flash at normal sync speed for my camera (1/200 sec). Worked like a charm. They seemed to tint my image a bit blue when I first put them on, but this was quickly handled by simply calibrating my white balance with the filter on. I'd definitely recommend these filters and would definitely buy this brand and from this seller again. I've attached a couple of my first shots with them to give some idea what the product can do. With some practice, I look forward to making some jaw dropping photos with them. Many thanks to both the seller and Tiffen for providing me with a great product to play with.

I've been using these filters to do some portrait shooting in sunny days in regards to use my speedlights. Image quality is awesome. I've bee using 2 filters at once (1.2 and 0.9 one over the other) and I couldn't find distortion or vignetting on my images. I haven't tried these filter for landscape but I'm guessing they will work excellent due my results on portrait. If you are patient enough to be changing filters, depending on light conditions with a good value for money, this is excellent choice.

I ordered these to take with me on an upcoming trip to Alaska. All of the reviews seemed glowing so I went ahead with these, which seemed reasonably priced but well made. When I got these nothing seemed wrong with the shipping box or the actual box that they came in, but upon opening up the filter wallet all of the filters appeared dirty with some non dust white stuck on spots all over them. Some of the filters even had smudge marks on them as if someone handled them with oily fingers. It's hard to show in the photo but you can see some of the smudging and dirt in the attached photo, as well as the large white spot in the upper right side of the filter. This is absolutely unacceptable considering I have bought cheap $10 filters that looked better than this when I opened them. It should also be worth noting that I purchased two Tiffen circular polarizing filters and one of the two of them was also dirty and smudged like these. Can't say I will ever buy or recommend Tiffen filters anymore...

Being an otherwise fairly experienced photographer, I got these as a first filter set for working with longer exposures.Pros:They cut light.Fairly inexpensive.Cons:Heavy.Thick.Not stackable.*Carrying case isn't great, I bought end caps, but these add even more weight.Vignetting.Image quality degradation.* If you have a wide lens, or probably any full-frame lens, stacking will cause the edges of the filter(s) to cut into the image. If you're using these on a cropped sensor, they could be stacked, but the image quality is pretty bad with one, let alone two or three.Bottom line is that I got these to see if I even cared to step into the long exposure world, so I didn't expect much. But, to be honest, if I were to give myself or anyone else advice on a first ND, I'd suggest a single 6-stop filter and then go from there. In my case, I'll be buying a square filter bracket with a 6-stop and two mounts, one for each of my lenses (72mm and 49mm). For anyone with a full frame 16mm or similar lens, don't buy a circular filter. You're going to get vignetting. Also - with square filters, you can screw on a CPL under the ND to cut reflections or enhance sky while also darkening your image.

great, great great filters - solid and with amazing pictures qualityagree with other users - the wallet made in China brokes the charm - now, if your fingers are clean and you know how to handle it - then no doubts - this is a kit for youI would recommend it for passionate amateurs ( I consider myself)Just for the record - this is an alternative to a Tiffen's "progressive neutral filter" - twice more expensive - why? OK. you spend more time handling 3 filters BUT I discovered the progressive neutral filter (combination of two filters together) has issues in 3 or 4 combination positions alternating colorsLast but not the least - you can attach / combine the filters - put 2 or 3 together

I wanted to shoot video outdoors in bright sunlight with my Canon T4i. I wanted to keep my shutter at 1/50 and keep my f-stop at 4. With settings like that, everything will be overexposed. These ND filters are the solution! They come as a set of 2, 3, and 4 stops. This means that you can stack them to get 2,3,4,5,6,7,and 9. (Not 8.) After some testing, now I stack 4+2=6 stops. 6 stops at 100 ISO gets me perfect exposure on a sunny California day. And if I need more light, I can go to ISO 200. These filters do have a slight cyan color cast, but it can easily be fixed in post, especially if you have a white card reference. There's also some vignetting when using a short focal length, but that's to be expected when stacking filters. I'm very happy with these ND filters. I would recommend them as a good starter set for any photographer or videographer interested in shooting outdoors.
