Slept two nights on this cot as an alternative to an inflatable mattress. I camp in a tent and was hoping to reclaim some space because the mattress takes up much of the footprint. The hinges are right where my elbows are and there was no way to avoid having them dig into me while I was trying to sleep. The other thing is, the seam from the cushion material is precisely at the waist area, and it was digging into my lower back all night. At first I thought maybe there was a cross section of the frame underneath, but that wasn’t the case. It was simply the way the cushion material is constructed on the underside. I also had a 1” foam cushion I used for additional comfort but that didn’t outweigh the negative aspects of this cot. I ended up returning for a refund.

I really wanted to love this, but so far, it's meh. I've used it several times for laying out on my patio, and camping.Stability: 2 of 5 starsFor setting up and laying out it's easy. But there's no support under the bottom or top 1/3 of the cot, so you need to be sure weight is only placed in the center third. This could be fixed with an additional hinge bar at the top and bottom (think old school lawn chairs). It would not have to be super sturdy and 300lb weight bearing, just something to stabilize so you don't tip over every time you go to adjust your body. It would also be good if the current hinges locked, so if someone bumps into it hard, you don't risk one the hinges closing up under you. Having said that, I do appreciate the ball hing feet which help when you're on uneven ground.Size: 4 of 5 if you want a LARGE cotThis suited for car tent camping both nights comfort wise (as far as cots go). Note that the foot print is no joke. Our six person tent (that comfortably sleeps 4 with sleeping pads) would only fit two of these. I'm a smaller person (5'3" so could do with a shorter version) but I love the width, I don't feel like I'm going to roll off if I roll over.Ease of transport: 2 of 5Carrying this is difficult as it's large/awkward and there's no carrying handle to prevent it from opening while moving it from one location to another (garage to car, car to tent, around on the deck). The manufacturer could easily add a sturdy handle on the bottom top hinging fold to create an easy way to move this one handed without unfolding.All-in-all, It's better than sleeping on a mattress pad camping, and quite nice for a 20 minute sun nap on the back porch (very comfy for laying on your stomach as there's no bars or pieces to jab your stomach or chest (from a women's PoV).If these improvements come about in a newer version, I'd seriously consider buying a second (assuming it would still be

FIlls the gap between lounger and cot nicely. Not really using it as a cot but to lay out in the sun. The flat mode allows you to easily lay on your back. Feels really sturdy and fits my 6 2 body well. The only big nitpick I have is that for being pretty big it lacks any sort of handle or shoulder strap for carrying. So not ideal if you are hiking long distances. The hinge seems to be well made which is good because it will take a lot of stress so you should be careful with it. Fairly comfortable with no pressure points. Those camping may want to consider a dedicated cot instead for more durability and comfort. But for me and my light usage this is one of the few options that fits the bill and looks like it will last.

For personal reasons, I've had to sleep on this cot for 2 straight months now. It's also my couch and dining chair/table. It's basically my main piece of furniture right now and the only thing that I sit or lay on. It's very sturdy and well built. I did accidentally tip it a few times in the beginning but figured out what works for me; I just stand on it to get on and off since it's pretty low to the ground and always keep my center of gravity in the middle section. The weight limit is 300lbs, but my boyfriend has managed to join me on it a few times, which definitely exceeded the limit. Comfort-wise, it took me a week or two to break it in, but it's probably because I was spending so much time on it. Out of the box, it was totally fine, but after 8hrs of sleeping and many hours of lounging, it wasn't comfortable until week 3 ish. I haven't folded it back up or moved it, but I do adjust the top part several times a day. I don't use a mattress pad and only have a pillow on it. My only gripe with it is that the bottom section seems too short because my feet are always touching the bottom edge. I'm not even tall (I'm about 5ft), but in order to keep it stable, I have to center my weight in the middle and can't use the top 2 feet of the cot. A taller person will probably be fine since the weight will be more evenly distributed over the whole thing. Also, it would be nice if there was a more neutral gray or black color, I'm not a huge fan of green. Overall, it's still a great purchase for the price point. I'll update this in a few months if I'm still using it, though I hope I'll be using normal furniture by then.

Very nice and sturdy product, seems pretty comfortable and very good price. The only reason I am not giving it five stars is because there is a pinch point when you lower the leg end. That side is not adjustable to different levels, it just goes up-and-down, which is fine, but twice I pinched my finger badly between the rod and the plastic piece that it drops into because I wasn’t expecting it to drop so quickly. A warning tag on that area would be helpful. Otherwise a very good product and I have just ordered a second one.

My Timber Ridge Juniper Heavy Duty Quickset Adjustable Folding Camp Cot fitted the need I had for a reasonably priced adjustable sleeping platform. Because of a medical problem I needed a n adjustable sleeping platform. A bed cost too much and a stuffed chair wouldn't fit in the space I had. This device met my need at a very reasonable price. It is sturdy, comfortable, folds up nicely and fits into the small space I have. I recommend it for anyone who needs an adjustable sleeping platform at a very reasonable price.
