Overall, I'm pleased with the product. One clasp on the boomer will not slide onto a chain - most likely due to the green paint on both the boomer and the chain. Since I will need to modify the boomer (shave it down somehow) I gave the product 3 stars.I have pulled several large trees with the Timber Tuff, a distance of 1/2 km, behind my Honda Pioneer. Other than the boomer occasionally slipping, the product works very well. It is wide enough that it stays flat (does not tip) and the front of the tree does not dig into the ground. One thing you will need to consider, is how you will get large trees onto and off of the plate - possibly a log peavey or can't hook.

Well packed and easy to put the few metal plate and chain parts together with two adjustable wrenches. The device is very sturdy and works just as they describe. A single skidding chain is good, but if you have logs that want to dig into soft ground, this plate is perfect. The ring fits over the 2" ball on my hitch nicely. Very fine product.

I have just assembled this and not used it yet, but am impressed with the quality, weight and design. I see nothing cheap about this tool and expect it to work well. It is heavy and well built. My box arrived with one end torn open during shipping and I was unsure if I had all of the parts, as there was not a parts list nor instructions in the box. That evening I sent an email to Timber Tuff's customer service and early the next morning (like 8:30 AM or so) I received a reply from Timber Tuff. So their customer support is excellent, as well as this product.
