The rightvway to repair stripped spark plug threads.The installation tooling is very well made and the engineering is spot on.It's nice to see that quality product and tooling still exists.A little pricey, but definitely worth it

It was almost exactly what I needed to repair a cylinder head that someone else ripped the plug threads out of. The system is easy to use and gives you a very high quality repair. The only issue I had is that the longest insert was still too short. It still worked but I don’t know if there will be long term issues because of the insert not going to the opening at the combustion chamber.

Nothing worse then possibly having to pull the heads!I ordered this to repair a 2015 Fiat 500 Abarth Cylinder Head Thread for the spark plug and works 100% of your car is same specs as designed worked great on my car.One problem with this kit though in my opinion is Price Point is to Hight I feel a comfortable price is 50-60$

If you do everything it says in the instructions it will work very easily, the quality of this kit is top notch. My sxs spark plug hole was stripped bad, instead of paying $500 for a new head i got this kit and my sxs is running great again. Pack the tap with grease and check occasionally as the metal chips build up quickly. I also recommend putting red loctite on the thread insert as well and letting it cure for 24 hours before firing the motor back up. Would and will recommend this to anyone!

An absolutely wonderful kit. I have used helicoil kits in the past but this has to be one of the best. Installed the helicoil in a V-Twin and work perfectly. The stepped tap made the installation a breeze. As I told the guy as we were installing the helicoil, go slow and do not try to make took quick of a job of it. We placed grease in in the slots resulting in no shaving ending up in the cylinder. Pack the slots with grease, cut a little, back out, clean the grease and shaving off, and repack every so often. I didn't keep count but I am certain we did this no less than 10 times before the process was finished. Estimated saving of anywhere between $500 and $1,000 depending if you are a do it yourselfer.

This product worked great on repairing a stripped spark plug hole on a harley. Item was packaged well and instructions were clear and step. If you use this product make sure to order the high temperature loctite and apply it around the outer threads half way down, this way it is pushed up as you install insert, this avoids any loctite from dripping down into cylinder.

Yes it cost more than other sets, and YES its 100% better quality set than the cheaper sets. Well worth it, great quality, works as expected and saved my stripped spark plug hole on commercial mower. 20mins max to do job. Buy with confidence

I stripped out the threads in one of the spark plug holes for my Mini Cooper. The cutting tool Works beautifully I used lots of grease to keep the metal chips on the tool. The new insert went in beautifully and the tool was very easy to use. I do recommend having a quarter inch Drive set with lots of extensions if you have to reach far into the head as in a Mini. I needed several extensions and a 9mm socket for the end tap as well as a 13mm for the end of the insert tool. I also used a mini camera w/light to make sure that I had removed all of the metal chips from within the cylinder head. The results are just as advertised, the car is running great and I didn't have to take it to the shop to get the head repaired/replaced. Great product
