Installed the this timing set per FSM instructions. During the FIRST reassembly I heard an odd ratcheting noise inside the gear housing cover. A noise similar to a chain skipping across gear teeth. So I proceed to slowly bar the engine over. To my surprise the engine will rotate about half a rotation before it hits something. Knowing something is wrong I tear it completely back down to find the timing had jumped. I remove and reinstall the chain and tensioner again. Verify full rotation before firing engine. Change the pill and filter. Start the engine and it sounds flawless. For about 12 hours if which maybe 2-1/2 were driving. Check engine light comes on so the car gets scanned. Code p0311- intake cam to far advanced. It makes it home. Do a compression check as to which all cylinders had compression. Go to scan it with the Snap on and now it is code P0340-intake cam sensor. Changed that only to find it didn’t work. Pulled the valve cover to find the thinking chain loose between the cams. Now I’m buying a head. I am out time and money.DO NOT BUY THIS TIMING SET.
