Bought this for my 2001 Jeep Cherokee with Chrysler 8.25 axle. The shoulder is too wide and the bearing won't set flush with the end of the axle tube. Feeling around inside, there is an equal distance where the inside hasn't reached the step. The only way to get the c-clips back on the other end of the axle is to put a big C-clamp on the axle flange and tighten it until you've basically crushed the outer seal and even then the c-clip has to be tapped in. Chances of being able to remove the axles again without cutting the c-clip seem to be about zero. With the inner seal, you can't pull these bearings back out without destroying them.After-the-fact googling shows that there was some sort of design change and either these wide shouldered ones are old stock that should have been pulled and replaced, or new stock that has been manufactured incorrectly. This could have been a great product if a little more care had been taken in setting the manufacturing specs. My Jeep is 18 years old - surely I'm not the first customer to have had this problem. So far, the fit of the rollers themselves is good and no apparent leakage, but I have my doubts about how long this will last. Had I measured, I could have put the bearings on my lathe and cut down the shoulder to the correct thickness - lesson learned. Frankly, I had better expectations of Timken. If you look at the pics of the equivalent National repair bearing, they seem to have gotten the shoulder width right. The Timken pics don't show the shoulder.

Used a pair of these to rebuild a junkyard axle assembly for my 1997 F-150 (10th Gen). Double garlock seals, moves the bearing out about 1/4 inch extending the life of the axle, easy install. I've got a few thousand miles on these now and have not had a single problem. As I always recommend with any vehicle-specific part, check the manufacturer's website application guide for accuracy.

Amazon says these fit my 1999 F150 XL base, 4.2L V6 Manual, 2-wheel (rear wheel) drive. THEY DO NOT FIT! It took me a month to get around to changing them, and now it seems its too late to return?!?!? WASTE OF MONEY!

Ordered this bearing for my 99 Blazer; turns out to be wrong and had to send back. My rear end was 7 1/2 not 8 as this bearing is for. Top of page said it fit, it did not. If you have the eight inch rear end you will be fine. Timken is a great bearing

I bought this for an '03 Ford Ranger with an 8.8 rear end, but this bearing came as a 3.0" diameter and my truck takes a 2.25". I wished I could have used this bearing as it's superior to the National I ended up buying locally (at a higher price) as a replacement.

I had never even heard about this great product, my friend told me about it. What it does is move the rollers and seal over just enough to miss the 'bad' spots on my axle. Saved me from having to buy an axle on my Ford F150 4x4 pickup. Easy to install, made by Timken Bearing!
