These are brass brushes, if you use nylon brushes be aware. They work great for hard to remove carbon and copper.

I bought these to use in my 30 caliber rifle, only use these but I want to clean copper out they seem to work well but I go through a lot of them because the copper cleaner also eats the brushes.
