Carbon fiber is well-suited to the tough tasks assigned to cleaning rods. It combines the best features of stainless steel and coated cleaning rods, then adds valuable properties of its own. Carbon fiber can't scratch your bore like stainless steel and won't embed like coated rods. Carbon fiber rods can be bent to an extreme degree and return to their original straightness. These cleaning rods are "deluxe" because they feature an ergonomically designed handle that spins on two sets of ball bearings - the result is a cleaning rod that smoothly follows the rifling both pushing and pulling, even while under pressure. The "shank-through" construction also allows the user to apply "reasonable" hammer blows to the end of the cleaning rod to get a tight patch through a bore.

Functions well, handle spins with smooth action, shaft fits perfectly in 22 caliber barrel. Accepts standard thread brushes and jags. 36" length works nicely through the breech on a bolt action. Would recommend.

These are great, durable, coated rods made of good components. Hard to get excited about a cleaning rod but these are all I will use now. Highly recommend.

I have been wanting a 1 piece cleaning rod for my long guns for quite a while, but never wanted to buy an aluminum one so I have always used the 3 piece aluminum cleaning rods for ever. Everyone knows that barrels and aluminum don't go together because you can damage the rifling, throat, and muzzle very easily while cleaning your rifles. This carbon fiber 1 piece cleaning rod was exactly what I was looking for so I can clean my rifles as needed with minimal risk of damaging the barrel in any way. The handle is a comfortable fit in your had and the bearings rotate smoothly while pushing a brush or jag through any barrel. If I wasn't the family gunsmith and gun cleaner I would definitely buy these for other family members.Pros: not aluminum, can be used for many calibers, can be purchased in different lengths depending on your need, ease of useCons: as of now I don't have any, but carbon fiber can splinter or break easier than the old aluminum cleaning rods. This isn't a big issue when consider the price if I ever need to replace it.
