This is absolutely awesome. I used it to wrap headers and my downpipe. The 1" is a little small for the shallow bends on exhaust but being smaller it really helps me to ensure a tight and neat fit.You can wet this prior to wrapping but it isn't necessary. It is plenty flexible to be pulled snugly without being wet. Wear gloves and you'll thank me tomorrow.

I do a lot of motorcycle headers - and the 1" width is perfect for those tight pipes and flanges. Great wrap.
