I use these for a project, and most have been built well (one had a messed up idle valve. It worked but wobbled).Works great as a torch and as a flamethrower. Keep the silver valve about a quarter turn, to keep it acting as a pilot light and let the trigger burst do the heavy work.

Had to get a 2nd one the 1st was not hooking up. Never the less I have given up on chemicals bad and $$$. This rig has a very powerful jet-I almost never need to squeeze the handle much. With rock in Az we get stuff /organic and can't pick it out. This baby incinerates it and I turn till so I can see bare rock. some ashes persist so will hope and re-evaluate, Parts well made and I am SO happy with this unit. No raking stuff/debris but rather incinerate the weeds and dried leaves

Good but hose too long to maintain constant blast.

I have large areas of 2" stone on my property, which is great because I don't have to mow it. But when the rains come, the weed population explodes and threatens to take over. I don't want to spread poison on my yard, so I bought and tried a couple of big box store torches, but they were impotent and useless. Luckily I spotted this torch on Amazon. It's great because it has impressive flame power, a button lighter, good valves, and a long hose so you don't have to lug the propane tank. This thing really blasts weeds, and it is a lot of fun to use. The idle flame works well, and the blast trigger lights 'em up. (The sound of it attracts neighbors, who are amazed.) I had to watch some YouTube vids to learn how to avoid tripping the flow regulator device, but once you've got it, the weeds don't stand a chance.

Awesome torch. I'm melting asphalt crack filler with it. This puts out a lot of heat. It's perfect... and fun.The "pilot light" feature is excellent and adjustable. If properly adjusted, it will not blow out with wind.Easy flame intensity control (pulling the trigger more or less will control flame intensity)Built-in igniter is greatPerfect design. I highly recommend it.

This torch has functioned great; however, if you have a full propane tank, ONLY, barely turn on the propane tank! Too high of flow or pressure only produces a weak flame. Otherwise the tool works great. We have used it to kill weeds and bushes, but we primarily use it for our fire pit. It starts out oak or pine logs quickly, and to me that’s safer than using accelerants like gasoline. Again, if you have poor performance, only barely open the propane tank valve.

First I had to tighten the fittings and the head as they all leaked the first time. I used it 3 times. The head started to leak and burned the ignitor wire. I was hesitant to buy this based on the mixed reviews. Win some, lose some. This one was a loss. I already had a torch I had to light by hand, now I have two I guess!

Ordered Item 12/3 – arrived 12/6. Took 1 minute to assemble.Hooked up to my propane tank after removing same from grill. Opened valve on tank, depressed torch trigger slightly & snapped flint igniter – nice strong & hot flame. Experimented with it on recent [Chicago area] snowfall lying on a concrete ledge outside. Works great. The key has to be the push button start. Just depress the variable speed trigger slightly to allow some gas out at low velocity, and push the button to start the flame. Then depress all the way to go full blast. Beats the hell out of burning your hand with those old ‘muzzle loading’ flint starters - this is safer & easier.Let go of trigger and flame stops – couldn’t be simpler. Will come in handy this winter.[Note – the unit came with wrenches for the fittings, but you may find the thread direction is reversed – i.e. - if tightening clockwise doesn’t work – try counter-clockwise...]
