I have an old but wonderful RidJid ironing board, 53' x 14". I was nervous about buying this cover, but no other suitable covers were available. This cover is working out fine. It took a while to cinch up because it is a bit larger than it needs to be, but patience and time paid off. It is now flat, cushy and strong. Very glad I took a chance.
