This is great for those freeze dried meal pouches. The handle is long and reaches to the bottom to mix well.

Not much to say about the spork. Comes in a little bag to keep clean and the polished bowl is angled well for bagged meals and nice to eat from.

This TOAKS spork uses lightly thicker 1.2mm titanium than the other brand selling an otherwise identical Ti spork, which also costs 50% more, and which is only 0.8mm thick. The TOAKS spork is listed as 8.5" long, and measured exactly that. Both the TOAKS and the otherwise identical more expensive spork are exactly the same 8.5" length, as you can see in the photos, though that other one is claimed to be 9" (it's not). The slightly thicker 1.2mm titanium sheet the TOAKS is made from results in a more sturdy feeling spork, the bowl and tines especially, that the 0.8mm otherwise identical spork which flexes more. The TOAKS weighs 18.8g while the thinner one weighs 15.1. You can also seen in the photos that the Toaks handle fluting has softer edges in the transition between flat section and fluting, though there no functional difference that results other than TOAKS being stiffer due to the more substantial construction. (For comparison, a Snow Peak Ti spoon is 2mm thick titatium sheet, though they do not offer a long-handled one.)The polished bowl is a nice touch and makes it feel like normal silverware in the mouth. The TOAKS Ti long handled spork is for using with those deep bags you eat reconstituted freeze dried meals from. It's much more appetizing than it sounds once you're out there in the woods at evening, and you can find delicious freeze dried meals now. Reaching into those deep bags with a regular spoon or fork and the annoyance of getting food on your hand from the side of the bag is the reason someone said why not make a long spoon or spork. This special use is nice, and important for some who use these meals, but I find it useful for all functions I'd use a spoon/fork/spork for.

Took this on a camp trip recently and worked like a charm, perfect for bigger bag meals so you can reach in there

What a great spork.....the price is awesome and although it's "just a spork," it is also a work of art. When you are looking for a long handled and super light spork for camping - and don't want to break the bank - this is your tool. Soup on the trail has never tasted so good...

Long handles, polished bowl faces, two in a pack. What can be wrong about that? These are great for eating freeze dried meals out of the pouch. The polished bowl makes clean up easier when eating foods that tend to stick to utensils. I keep one in my pack and the other in my vehicle emergency kit.

I would say this is the absolute best eating utensil for camping/backpacking. It is very lightweight, since it is titanium, and holds up well with packing, unpacking, etc. The spork option, along with the long length, makes it perfect for eating out of freeze dried meal bags, etc. I considered getting the plastic, cheaper spoon and form you can connect together, as I saw that on a gear review video. Since this was only about 4 more dollars, I decided to go this route and have no regrets. It's not the cheapest spork you're ever going to buy, but worth every penny, due to its functionality, and the fact you will only have to buy this once.

The spork itself is great. It's super light, strong, very easy to clean with a wet wipe, and the length is perfect. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is the little carrying bag it came in. It looked good, weighs almost nothing, and has a drawstring closure to keep the utensil clean when it's packed away. But I went on a two-day backpacking trip after I got the spork to use it for the first time, and by the end of it the spork had torn through the bottom of its bag. I think the bag is just a little too small for the utensil when you pull the drawstring tight. Its a relatively small detail but it's part of the deal, so I include it as part of my overall product experience. Also, I highly recommend the smooth coated end version of this and not the rough one. The texture of the uncoated titanium would be pretty unpleasant on the lips & teeth.
