The listing says it is a seat riser but this has nothing to do with the seat. It’s a frame that goes around the commode to assist in getting on and off the throne. The whole frame was packaged well. I was able to unpack it and assemble it without any issues. It took less than 10 minutes. The person using it found it to be sturdy even though they were initially hesitant to put too much weight on it. This should accommodate most average sized people however if the person is very tall, short, tiny or large, they may have a different user experience. There are various adjustments you can make for a custom fit but obviously there may be people outside of those ranges. We haven’t been able to test the full 300 pound stated weight limit but I have no reason to believe it won’t support that. We’re just over halfway there and all is good. It took up minimal room in the bathroom and can stay in place without really inconveniencing people who use the bathroom who may not need it. We have an average/modern commode and we had no issues with the fit. If you have something fancy, your experience may differ. The magazine holder is a nice feature. The seat seems comfortable and easy to clean. Shop around for the best price with similar specs.

When I throw my back out, it is really painful to get up and down on the toilet, but this gadget is the perfect solution. It was easy to set up and adjust to fit my toilet - you can adjust the width and height of the handrails to make it work in your situation. The frame is very sturdy so I don't feel like it would give out or let me down. The suction cups hold tight to the floor so the unit doesn't move once you set it in place. I am very pleased with this handrail support.
