Thes work wonderfully. Using one to create a sort of controlled vacuum leak on an old carbureted car while diagnosing an idle issue. The fittings are machined correctly and fit up nicely, and the ball valve doesn't leak, so allows a bit of precision in just how much air I can let bypass throttle plates. If I found another application in which these would work I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again.

I had the need for a very compact shut off valve. These valve are well made but be aware that there are no female threads on one end. The description states there are both 1/4” male AND female. There is not a view in the description to see for yourself. This valve is suitable for a drain/vent only and it makes sense that there wouldn't be room for a female port due to the small size of the valve body but I didn’t consider that.

This is much easier to use than a standard air compressor drain. It feels solid and works well. The little handle is plastic so it will not last forever, but it works perfectly and I like it.

A+ for ease of use and install, literally a ball valve that says on or off, you'd be surprised how many people can screw that up. Keep it simple, and easy to read. I just wish it was stainless steel. I only like to use brass or steel for the stationary manifold, just because of durability in my sense. Aluminum is too soft. I like to use these versus the regular screw drain plugs, those take forever and tend to seize more, from the water and elements.

Had an old style that required me to un-screw it. Much easier to bleed off the water now. Easy replacement.

Most compressors come with a valve that must be unscrewed many turns to drain condensate from the tank. This valve only needs to be turned 1/4 turn to be fully opened and seals firmly to prevent leak down. The clearly marked ON/OFF lettering is helpful to determine the position so you don't start your compressor with it in the open position. Comes with two valves so you have a spare or you can outfit a second compressor if you have more than one. Threads do not come with the sealant applied as shown in the picture, but a little Teflon tape or TFE paste will do.

The valve is a ball valve so when draining compressor any dirt or rust can blow out the drain without plugging it
