Easy-to-Install Table Saw Insert

Cut rabbets in no time! This throat plate is easy to install, adjust, and lock in place. And as easy as it is to install, it’s also easy to uninstall. Fitting like a charm, you can use the 4 adjustment screws to sit the plate according to your desired height. The locking mechanism is similar to the stock plate.

Some have issues with the dado throat plate not sitting flush on the table saw. One reason for this is incompatibility with the table saw model. Check your DeWalt table saw’s model number and check your user manual for the necessary throat plate part number. Note that DWE7402DI is only an exact fit for job site portable table saws, specifically 7490 series models.

I'm hoping this review is on the aluminum version. I originally purchased the plastic plate. Huge error. The plastic version didn't fit well and it is overly flexible which creates dado cut depths that aren't uniform. Buy the aluminum version.Far superior. I still needed to make adjustments on the casting to get a good fit. It needed to have a reinforcing "rib" on underside reduced so the plate could lay flat on the saw table. This process took about ten minutes with a hand file.Works well after minor adjustments.

Garbage absolute garbage. It’s made of plastic and is warped. Will not fit flush because it’s not the same thickness. Save your money

This is well made metal DaDo throat plate. I have the DeWalt DWE7491RS Type 10 Portable Jobsite Table Saw with Foldable Stand. This throat plate fits my saw perfectly. I just put it in and leveled the plate to the table with the adjustment screws and that's it. I purchased my table saw 11/2024 from Lowes. I don't know if DeWalt made any changes on their newer DWE7491RS Type 10 models but it fit mine perfectly right out of the box.

This does not even come close to sitting properly in the Dewalt 10 inch DWE 7491 model. The right side sits way below the plane of the table, while the left side is lifted up above the plane of the table. It's doesn't even sit flat. It's completely designed wrong, there throat has a plastic piece that sits on top of the a piece of the saw, preventing it from fitting. It's just false advertisement and designed for the a different saw.

Fits perfect on the table saw insert. No problems whatsoever. Currently using it on DeWalt 10in table saw Model#DWE7491RS with a Diablo dado stacked blade set Model#DD208H.

This is a solid product, more heavy duty than the manufacturer's throat plate, not the (cheap plastic) comments, that crept into the reviews for this product. That being said, you must modify (grind) away metal material on the bottom left (nearest to the blade) side, (due to interference with the fabric attached for dust collection efficiency), after I removed that material, the throat plate fit very well, some slight rocking (due to the 2 front end legs being thinner), but nothing that will affect your cuts. Overall a good buy for your table saw.

I too have the DWE7491RS Dewalt table saw which I purchased in 2021. This part fit like a glove with very minor adjustments. The plate is made of hard resin plastic which I am fine with. Not sure why others are saying it doesn't fit, maybe I have a newer model or something, but I love mine.

It fits the opening on my DeWalt 7491RS and works passably well as a dado throat plate, but it doesn't lie flat in the opening due to a slight warping. There are adjusting screws to raise areas that might be too low, but you can't do anything about warping that raises a corner above the surface of the table. Not much - a millimeter or two. Lightweight plastic. Because it's lightweight it's fine for most workpieces and pushes down as you move the piece over the raised portion. Somewhat disappointing, but it was cheap.
