Hot Garbage. Surface has "bubbles" ... voids in the material. Buy this as a gift for a mechanic you hate.

Large box arrived right on time and had 3 foam pieces just as advertised. Easy to cut and fit to size for your tool chest. That said, it's not as easy as it looks to cut the pieces with precision - that will likely be only as good as the sharpness of your blade and the steadiness of your hand! However, it's a great product and does exactly what it's intended to do. Would recommend to others for sure .

There's not a whole lot to say other than if you haven't used this kaizen type foam before, then you definitely need to swap to it because none of the other case or toolbox foam types available even compare to how you can customize this so easily. I do have quite the tool kit for working with this foam, which includes different knife blades, a hot tip iron for smoothing out spots, a grater type tool, two different size cutter discs, a bunch of different dremel bits for cutting foam, and a whole lot more I'd be here the rest of the night listing. But I've been doing tool boxes and cases for years to build that collection. You really can do it with just a good hobby knife and a pen to trace out your tools. You only need the additional stuff if you want to get into making it three dimensional and get that perfect contour fit.

I'm really impressed with these. These fill my tool box drawers perfectly (top wide drawer) and were easy to customize for my tools. I'm seriously impressed. My toolbox has never been more organized and I'm amazed at the time that is saving me. These are good quality and work very well.

This came in very large sheets (the size of the cardboard box in the attached image). I measured the toolbox drawer and cut the sheet down very easily, and then laid my tools out on the insert piece. I used a fabric marker to outline the tools, and then a box-cutter to cut down to the base layer of the foam for the perfect fitting hole for my tools. There are 3 main layers to this material; the top black piece, the center red foam, and the bottom black piece. It's easy enough to ensure you're only cutting the top and center foam pieces and I had no issues making this work perfectly for me. There is enough inserts in the box for me to do my entire toolbox and plenty more.

I ordered this product to organize one of my toolboxes for power tools and some delicate and expensive specialty tools. I had previously ordered and received an order of the two-inch thick foam for use the deeper drawers. This foam, at only one-inch thick will be used for the shallow drawers. This foam is one inch thick. It has two 1/4" black layers on the outside and two 1/4" red layers on the inside. Fortunately, the toolbox I am using is a black Craftsman toolbox, so the red & black colors will really work out. One thing I particularly like is that since this product is polyethylene foam, it will not decompose over time the way that polyurethane foam will. Additionally, the polyethylene foam will not dissolve if oil gets on it like some other foam products will (particularly polyurethane foam).I like the layered foam approach that is used with this product. I think it will be much cleaner and easier than using a router to carve out the space to hold the tools. Cleaning polyethylene router dust takes forever because it gets absolutely everywhere. That said, using a router can created curves that are difficult to accomplish with a knife and the results are very smooth.I really like this product. It is quite dense and will hold my heavier tools well without getting crushed.

I have always been annoyed by loose tools in the draw of a tool box and how they slide around every time I opened or closed the draw. It seems that I needed to arrange the entire draw about every third time I opened it and no matter what I tried to use to help keep the tools organized I ended up the the same result. That is until I bit the bullet and bought some of this foam. This is not a cure all for every draw in my tool box, but it's the best solution for any draw that has a variety of tools in it that don't have organizers that you can buy. The foam is really good quality and was easy to work with, just arrange the tools the way you want them to be, trace around them, then cut and peel out the top layer of foam. No more tools sliding around, I know exactly where every is suppose to go and when any of them are not put away. I did spend a lot of time arranging the tools to maximize the draw space since this is a one shot deal. So take the time to plan out a draw before committing to cutting the foam, since the sheets are not cheap and you really can't modify the layout once you have cut all the pockets for the tools.
